My ex mother in-law was the same way. I finally had a talk with her, she was very upset with the fact that I confronted her but we I never had any more issues with her. I say talk to her about it, she is the one not being very adult like about it, but by you confronting her you are being the adult in the situation. Best of luck!

Why don't you have your husband pay attention to her. Yes, she is interested in the boring details of your daily life, but you are now family. What we did was have a twice a month dinner with Mom. Like every other Thursday. It worked really well to let her feel included instead of excluded.

if it were me i would sit her down and tell her how i feel ( i had to do it with my mother in law... if you ignore it it can go on forever so why not just put a stop to it once and for all...
my motherinlaw would expect y husband to jump when she needed something and there we would have to go to help her or do what she wanted until i finally got fed up with all that bullshit...so best thing u can do is talk to her about it

If I were you, I would move away. I had a horrible mother in law for over thirty years. It was made worse by the fact my husband is an only child.

Both. You need to let her know how her behavior is affecting you and that you had a life before you met her. You are not obligated to call or visist everyday. What will happen when you have children???
Her expectations are unreasonable.

in the beginning, it would be completely criminal. 2nd, do no longer end your marriage over this. i assume you're chuffed on your marriage and love your spouse very plenty. do no longer end something as alluring and sacred as a loving marriage over something that doesn't actually matter quantity interior the long-term. the two one among your father and mom need to be chuffed, yet once you're so unfavorable to it attempt having a heart to heart which incorporate your father and your mom in regulation. tell them the style you sense and why you do. enable your spouse to assert her comments besides (even if in the event that they fluctuate from yours). Please be understanding in the event that they do get married. do no longer look at your spouse as the doorstep-sister. She is your chum, spouse, and perchance your soul mate, under no circumstances of your sister- by using blood or any incorrect way, no count what. i myself wish that I helped. I wish you and your loved ones the ideal of nice fortune :-)

Your husband-----her son-----ignores her and you-----the daugter-in-law are stuck dealing with this bloodsucker??? Hubby needs to step up to the plate and set some boundaries with his mommy, so that his wife----you----do not have to continue to put up with her controlling ways. She's a control freak.

It is very rude of you to call her names. I think that says a lot about your lack of respect for her. You need to respect her because she is your husband's mom, and put up with what you need to, to keep peace in the family.
