when you want them to go away, you dont want to deal with the issue or reason you were upset.
when you miss them, maybe youre willing to look past it or try to fix it?
I dont know, but I have done it a few times in my life.. and I think I have chalked it up to that.

When someone care about annoys or makes you sad it is perfectly natural to want distance so that they don't con tine to hurt you more when you are still reacting to the pain. Also of course if you care about the person you might want the distance so that you don't end up saying or doing something to hurt them.
It's only human to want a time out.
I suggest that you make your feeling known that something annoys or makes you sad right away so that you don't just keep putting up with it until you just explode. Bottled up emotions do more harm than most people realize.
A true friend will make an effort to stop the actions that annoys or makes you sad.

Yes, that happens a lot with my brother, he makes me so mad sometimes, but when he stops annoying me and goes somewhere else, like his friends house, I suddenly miss him annoying me, and wish he was there teasing me because I miss him you know, we're family and it's a bit of a game, but in those games, someone gets hurt.

You remember why you ever got involved... The ways they made you laugh, the fondness you had for this person.... Memory lane best viewed with rose tinted glasses... I had this experiance once with a darling girl, who broke my bloody heart, I didnt see her for 2 years and I moved countries . She went thru a hell of a time trying to get in conttact with me again and she found me. We are friends again, but I always keep a watchful eye so as she doesent treat me the way she did.

You can't just ignored the problem maybe that person need your help but couldn't find a best way to express it to you.....but the reason why you missed them because that person was giving you a hard time because he/she needs you desperately but you keep resisting your emotions towards them.

Call it guilt. You want them to bug the heck off, find another planet...and they take the hint.
It's because you miss the interaction, and there's no where else to get that attention....it's like that annoying brother, or sister, who you love to pick on...even if you don't always like them.....what would you do without them?

No, because if you did, you have to ward off everyone, and you'd be lonely, because everyone does something annoying that may make you sad to some degree. Instead, learn from their behavior of what not to do to better yourself. No one is a timeless enemy.

I hated my ex-husband for always calling the kids or showing up at my house to see them. They were always happy but I was not. I considered it an invasion.
Then he was sent to prison for a stupid white collar crime. The kids miss him terribly and I guess I do to.

because emotions are extremely strong, but short lived. Logic and reasoning sets in eventually, and you see things far more claerly than you did when fighting. You see your mistakes, and where you could improve.
Love is what shines though.
