In a weird sort of way it eases their guilt and makes them feel superior.

Oh my gosh, I feel ya girl. If I had to say, I'd say this, everyone's a hypocrit, if ppl are yelling at you and they're doing it, say," I'm a bust a cap in yo *** if you yell at me again!" No, jk, very politely, (and without being a smart a*ss, tell them that you're sorry for doing what you did, but you don't understand why they do it and it is okay and you do it and it's wrong.... : )

Some people are "control freaks" and just have to boss everyone else around. With them, it's always a one way street (their way). Later in life, they will probably have to go to anger management classes and/or they may push someone around too far and will end up in jail or dead. It's a mental health problem. Try to avoid these people at all costs-never marry
one, or you will be a "slave forever".

Because they think what they are doing is OK. And it makes themselves feel better when they can be little someone else and yell at them. Those who have themselves high on a pedestal or not better then anyone else. They just think they are. They think they are in high command and they can do no wrong.....

well you see... people like to take there mistakes and point them out in other people. Because they cannot deal with it themselfs, they deal with it through other people. Its not that they do it on purpose they just need to admit what they do and face it head on and not say you do it. Because most of the time they will point you out even though its not a very obvious at all.

They feel as though they need to correct you. You might gently point out that hey, if you're doing it, why can't I? It really needs to be in the safe situation, though. Be careful, not like "It's not fair," or they'll never listen to you.
Best of luck.

they're hypocrites...gotta love them. the best way to tackle them is with knowledge. I deal with this all the time. learn how to shut them up, find out what is wrong with what they are saying..learn it and learn it well and then give it back to them. they will shut up. even if they try to fight it..facts are the best weapon.
