What does everyone think about bringing a ballon to school for potty training a 2 year old. I think I 've got a strategy here. I'm thinking about bringing her one anyway when I pick her up on her birthday (this Wed 8/30), and well how about, (making association with positive reinforcement, and positive things, such as birthdays) I bring one on the day when she pottytrains and have them give it to her. This would maybe be the same day or second day when I bring the pull ups there? What does everyone think? Will she expect a balloon every time or is this a good idea? Could it also be helful that the other kids see her getting a balloon, and balloons could be given out whenever a kid pottytrains. It should be easy to help train younger kids? I had a small yellow balloon with a happy face in mind for the potty training, and A big pretty Happy Birthday! balloon for her birthday.

My mom works two parttime jobs and has weekends off. She doesn't go to school and would make good money without the second job she has the next town over. Without even considering to rearrange her own scedule, she EXPECTS me to arrange MY schedule of work, college, and studying time, and free time around picking up my sister from school in the frickin middle of the afternoon! Also, I am expected to cook my picky sister whatever food she may want and if I don't make it quickly enough she tells me I'm "too slow". I feel like her abused surrogate mother! I get so irriated with my mom and sister I'm ready to knock one of them out. I've talked to them about the situation but they don't seem to give a flying s*** and think I'm being an inconsiderate, selfish sister/daughter. All of my friends thinks its unfair but my family believes its fair because I should be willing to help out when i dont pay rent or bills at home. Am I being selfish? Please enlighten me.

both mother and farther gave up rights to another family. Is farther still responsible to pay mother arrearages. Can arrearages be put in trust fund for child?

I think people should be more responsible for there own safety. There are people that think the Government should support them, take care of and rescue them. We have a moral responsibility to look after the old and disable, not they able body, lazy leeches on society.

I bought him a computer for his 73rd birthday (my sisters chipped in too). We thought he would enjoy email and online Poker (for play money).

Well I'll be darned if the old coot didn't discover Internet Porn within a few weeks. Now he barely comes out of the house and won't return phone calls for weeks at a time.

Any suggestions on how to cure him?

my mother makes 50,000 yr . But i take cre of her two boys ages 16&17. What makes me mad is that she still tries to run my house hold. I have had them for over 8yrs but now i have got audited by IRS to show I should get the EIC credit. I did not go through the system b/c I was young and scared didn't know if they would try and take my boys away from me. So what do i do.

My dad has to go overseas in October and half of November (he works for an oil company). He said it's too long for me to go with him and I would be not be happy because of the country he is going to teenage girls are not treated well. He wants to pick a friend to stay with for a month and ask their parents permission.

I am so frightened. I don't have a mom anymore. He is all I have. We live in Texas now and all of three of my best friends parents are fundamentalists and Baptists and very very strict. My friend Tamara's mom is super strict and scares me! I don't think they like me, they tell me things like "if I were their daughter I'd really get it" and that I am rude and backtalk and dress inappropriately like tight jeans or whatever. What should I do? would have any of them have the right to actually smack or spank me? my dad does not believe in that but he's like if we had to agree with it and as long as it wasn't abusive it would not be a huge deal but I think it is.

Reccently I have found out about my brother's ongoing abuse (if you have payed attention, you will know.) Yes, my mother knows - she hasn't done anything to my father yet - not even confronted him. I am 17, my brother is 16. I spied his journal (I know I know) and I read the last entry (ok, so a couple more aswell), and he's thinking about running away because Mom's done nothing to stop it. I am 19 years old and have recently discovered the identy of my biological father. He has been suffering from kidney problems for a while now, and i would like to help. Ok about a year and half ago after my mom passed away my dad and big brother and I moved to Texas from Minnesota. I am 15. My big sister goes to college. My dad works for an oil company. He is not home much and we get along pretty well.

However, I am always getting yelled at by my friend's parents, teachers, the principal and vice principal. Usually for talking back or doing something else they think is "inappropriate." They will say stuff like I am lucky they are not my mom (which is very offensive) or my dad, or I would really "get it." Sometimes they threaten to call my dad or they do and they tell him stuff like "around here if someone does not raise their kids properly maybe someone else should" or that I dress inappropriately, jeans too tight, thong out whatever. My dad just tells me I should watch my mouth and show respect but if one more weird adult tells me I need to shape up or that I need a "butt whoopin" I am going to scream!!!! I am at my breaking point! What do I do?

OK after i end high school i was thinking about going for 2 years into the airfore, because i love planes, and i think it would be a awsome thing to do. and after the 2 years i would be 20 and then i wanted to go into college for 4 years and get a degree in something i am interested in. But for some reason i feel like there is not enough time to go into the airforce? Is there? Or is life to short? I feel like i would be going into college to late! Help!

I made some terrible mistakes when she was growing up. I have paid for them & so has she and her siblings. I am not the same person anymore. I have changed in so many ways. All I want is a chance to show her that I will never hurt her again. I can be trusted not to go away again unless God takes me home. We all deserve a chance to be a family.
