If it is something you are really interested in, NOW is the time, before you have other committments, like house and family. For me, it I would have been more mature, and handled it better, had I gone into college at 20. GO FOR IT!!!

It is never too late to go to college. I know a lot of people that have gone later in life than what you would be doing. Go ahead and join the Airforce. You may even find something there that you would want to do as a career. It will open up new areas for you also. Good Luck!!

You aren't the first grad to feel this way and you won't be the last. I was nearly frantic when I tried to decide my path. Now what works for me won't necessarily work for you, you sound like a very driven person. But in the 6 years I've been out of high school I've learned to stop worrying about the 'where am I going and how do I get there' Life isn't short and no one says that what you choose now will be what you do for the rest of your life. Relax and take your time. Stop and smell the roses is a proverb for a reason :)

Don't worry. Just research. Of course check out what anyone tells you, but I'd say go to college first. Then when you go to the air force, you will go in as an officer. Everybody in the air force does not fly planes you know. Then if you want an advanced degree, the air force can help you pay for it. Who knows you could end up an astronaut!

ummm.........let's put this into perpective. To be a doctor....it's 8-10 years of schooling....laywer....around 6 years.....architect 6 years......so....you'd be the same age of them folks....plus....if you decide on a Tech school....you might only go two years to school. Also, you might like the airforce and go to school while in the service.....no, you won't be waisting time. Actually, if you went into the airforce, it would give you a chance to grow up and be more mature to be able to make a more rational desicion on your college study choice. Good luck....oh...and there's people 40-50 years old going to college.

you can do this..if you love planes..then that's great..you can talk to your local recruiter, you can join whats called the ROTC if you only do it during high school you come out 1 rank ahead of everyone in basic, if you go to college of 4 yrs of ROTC you come you 2 ranks ahead of everyone from basic..my husband thought about doing this he was in the air force ROTC..so i do not see why you cannot do your dream and still go to college it is all possible
If you do join be safe be careful and know that you are cared about :) it is not always an easy life and there is loneliness ups and downs but if you are strong you can make it..be blessed always

no --that would not be too late--I think for many people college is a better experiance later in life... you get to know yourself better and may learn what your true passion in life is going to be when you are just a little older!
Good Luck--you sound like a wise woman already!
