Maybe have a girls night at your house for her, and invite all of your girlfriends. Pig out on junk food, do mani/pedis, style hair, watch cheezy chick flicks, call boys on your cell, listen to the radio, light candles, make it fun for her. Hopefully, her parents will lighten up soon about contact with boys.

I had a small girls-only slumber party at a fancy hotel near my house for my own sweet sixteen. We had a nice dinner, went in the pool, and just hung out the whole time- it was a great day. Making it a surprise party would be a good idea- no matter what the party ends up being like, she'll find the fact that you took so much trouble to plan a party in secret really touching. Work with her parents, asking them what they'll let her do, and there's no need for boys. Boys are good for a lot of things, but if you haven't learned this already, you'll find out that a lot of times can be wayyy more fun without them. You seem to know your cousin well, find a party you think she'd enjoy (like at the beach if she loves the sun, or the mall if she loves to shop, movies if she likes that) and plan it. If you and her good friends are there, it'll be a great party she'll remember forever.

Take her out to a dry night club and introduce her to some new people. I understand about strict Parents, but at the same time they have to let her grow up and be her own person or she is always going to have problems when it comes to meeting people . I have no doubt that she is excited and you just might end up being her new favorite cousin if you can pull this off. Talk to her Parents and get the ok from them, help her pick out the perfect outfit that is going to accentuate her best features, a little make up and when the time comes, a blind fold. Secrets are always fun, especially on birthdays. Hope that this helps you out with the decision that you make, be safe and have fun .

Surprise her with a glamorous party. This party may include: balloons, yummy cake, lots of presents, and gift cards maybe. You don't have to have boys at a Sweet 16 to be fun. No, it's better off just the same with girls. Have like maybe an invitation to you to her at like your place instead of having the party at hers since you said her parents are strict. Take her out like playing or having fun together for a while! Anything that'll make her happy!

Maybe you can surprise her with a really big cake or an expensive present? I guess you wouldn't want to mess around with the parents but maybe you could get her friends and take them out for a night on the town/shopping or her nd her bff at least. Up to you though :) Maybe you could ask her.. in a different scenario. I.E. Ask her what she would plan for ur friends sister who is a girl who's turning 15 soon (its not as obvious that way)

I wouldn't throw a party for her if she doesn`t know many people becuase it would be awkward to invite a bunch of guys she doesn`t know when a 16th is supposed to be special.
If I were you I would just plan something big but still sort of small like; get some of her closest friends together and go camping or to a big city & stay in a hotel, spend the day shopping. Something like that.

too bad she can't have boys around for her 16th. That's just wrong. Anyhoo, you girls can still have a great time just getting together for a slumber party since they seem to be okay for the over 10 crowd these days. Just having friends around for the big day is often enough. Good for you for trying to pull something together for her!

G'day Coldilocks,

Thanks for the question.

If you know who her friends are, you could hold a surprise party. If not, you could invite her out to lunch somewhere nice and celebrate her party.

It would be a lot easier if her parents weren't so strict but cest la vie.

Regards
