My boyfriend and I have been together 5 and a 1/2 years and have one child already, who is 4. I am 23 and my boyfriend is 26. The problem is I want to have a 2nd child (the sooner the better) and he never wants to have any more. How do we deal with this? Is there a future for us when he has sworn never to give me something I want so badly?

My great grandmother died when I was 7. That was 7 years ago. I didn't cry over her at all. I did cry last night over her. I now miss her so much. Why am I just now crying? I just don't get it. I didn't feel very sad when she died, and now I do. What's happening?

I think this is a well known problem but I need to know whether there is really a solution to it. Something that happens within seconds and then causes so much distress in many marriages. What is the solution?

For the past three to four months, my wife has been extremely irritable. I can't explain why...when I ask her she says she doesn't know. My first question is...well, is it me? She snaps at me for everything and nothing seems to be good enough...she always wants things done her way. We have a 2 1/2 year old little girl who she stays at home with all day. When I get home after working all day, I take my daughter and spend around two hours a day with her to give my wife a chance to decompress. Around 8:30 or 9 I finally get to sit down with my wife and chat with her. She always says..."I'm crabby tonight" I ask her "why" she typically responds..."i don't know or I don't want to talk about it." What can I do? What should I say or ask? I want to be the best husband and father I possibly can be. I feel like I am failing her and don't know why.
I always try to help her around the house with cleaning, cooking, giving her sat. to do what she wants for the day. WHat is going on

We are all taught to sort of honor and idolize our parents, like the commandment says. But I see the role of parent just like any other. You can perform well or poorly in it. Everyone can't be good at everything. Personally, I'd give my parents a C-. They were far from perfect, but they fulfilled the basic duties. How about you?

I hate my dad because he never cares about what i want what i want to do what i want to be. He constantly compares me to other people and tell me how much i suck how much better those harvard students are or watever. He constantly nags me constantly tell me i'm a big disappoint to him i'm not good enough. I don't do drugs i don't come home pregnant i take AP classes and passed them and i try my best. He doesn't tell me good job when i made wind ensemble or things i do well in. He only focuses on the bad things. What should i do? talking to him doesn't work i tried in the past it doesn't change him. I'm never good enough for him. He never encourages me. I hate him so much i want to go to a community college just to piss him off. Why doesn't my happiness matter to him?

Think that their grandchildren are the best, and wish they had them first!?

I get so much pleasure from them, I want to eat them, they are so cuddly, I can spoil them rotten, I can hand them back when they are tired or want a nappy changed. They will do more for me then my own children used to do. Are not they the greatest thing???

i recently got a protection order against my husband who has been abusive. how do i explain sudden disappearance of his father to my son? my son is so close to his dad since he is unemployed and stays home most of the time.

the protection order inhibits my husband from being in contact with me and my son.

We have the typical yours(5), mine(3) & ours(2). Only 2 of his children from one of his previous relationships live with us, which makes it 7 kids at home (16, 10,10,9,6,3,1). I suspect that I am preg. again. I mentioned it to my sis and she gasped and said" are you having it?!". I felt kinda bad. I know the rest of my fam (mom espec) will feel the same. They think we have too many already. Should I even make that matter to me? I feel as though, why should I limit myself because my husband used bad judgement in his past? It's not like I'm a single mother either. We can afford it. Should I let this bother me like this?

My 2 y.o. daughter's father is not involved and mine wasn't either when I was younger (we now have a GREAT relationship). I fear what her perception of men may be in the future. I also wonder if she will be equipped to make good relationship decisions having not seen one for herself. (I have not dated in a year and plan not to). I feel like I can intelligently counsel her on self-esteem, valuing her body and how a man should treat her but is it enough? What's your take on this??? BTW, I don't men bash nor do I hate her father or men in general.
