I am a funeral director who's had similar situations to this, the family went ahead and found the "real" parents, I was later told that they were very glad they did it

Yes, I would, for a lot of different reasons. First, you kinda need a family health history nowdays, its just a good thing to have so you can try to ward off heart disease and so forth, if it runs in your family then you can know what to watch out for and get regular check ups for it. I would also do it just to see what they are like, and to hear their story. I would like to know why they chose adoption and then tell them all about my parent, maybe to ease their mind a bit too, I'm sure they have always wondered about that child they gave up. Assuming, of course, that it is a happy meeting. Sometimes the rreal parents dont want to know, especially if you are going to tell them their child is deceased. It may end up hurting you more than you are hurting now over your deceased parent, but if it was me I would want to know. Good luck and I hope it all works out.

That would be a great idea. Even when they are not around anymore at least you will know more about them and you will not feel alone cause there are families that you belong too.

Most likely no. There is a reason thay never found each other... I think that its not your place to go there, its just looking for issues.

Probably not. It would be too hard to trace it after all this time.
