We are all taught to sort of honor and idolize our parents, like the commandment says. But I see the role of parent just like any other. You can perform well or poorly in it. Everyone can't be good at everything. Personally, I'd give my parents a C-. They were far from perfect, but they fulfilled the basic duties. How about you?

I'd have to give my parents a failing grade (F). My alcoholic/drug addict/Bipolar mother physically and emotionally abused me as a child/teen and my dad sat back and allowed it to occur and to continue because he didn't have the courage to stop it.
By basic care, I suppose you refer to food, clothing and a roof over my head.....barely.
A person has a choice in life....to continue the cycle or to do better. I chose to do better.

Yes, my parents did a good job. I can't give you any rating on my parents cos they are simply fantastic! A is never enough...My friend, you could have give your parents a better rate cos they could have done something for you silently without claiming any credit...Love them...

My mom gets a D-....she did very little to raise me and in turn exposed me to alot of harmful situations...I give all honor and glory to GOD ...because he brought others across my path all of my life whom have have given me tidbits of knowledge that helped develop me into the individual whom is answering your very intelligent question this day.

My parents get an 'F'. I mostly raised myself. They were there to pay the bills and do the cooking and cleaning, but as far as family involvement or guidance, I didn't get any.

Forever A++++++++++++++++++++++++!!!!! i love both my parents very much..they have taught me sooo much about life...they are both perfect in there own unique ways!!!! i couldnt describe how much i appreciate them in my life and how much i love them....they have dealt with so much stuff with me...so i thank god i have parents like them =)

above and beyond A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ they thought me to be confident and very independent and to love and forgive and just be a spontanious person, i owe everything to them and i can't thank them enough for raising me and giving me everything i needed :)
