I met my husband thru his sister,, we were best friends then when her brother and I hit it off she got mad and turned her mom against me "after" we got married,, they talk about me behind my back and i hear it from others,,, when we are over for family functions i feel like an outcast and get "the looks" it makes me so uncomfortable that i hate going there with my husband and will come up with excuses not to go... it's puttin a strain on us because i feel uncomfortable around them,, i have asked mom-in-law why she doesn't like me and she says " oh we LOVE you" but then the way they talk about me and treat me tells me differently.. please help me to make a happier home...

My sister in law had a misscarriage last week. When the doctor came into the room he called it a spontanious abortion (The medical term) my little sister who is 13 and a total little B**CH and gets away with murder. Over heard this and is going around telling people that my sister in law had an abortion. She knows what she is saying is wrong, she is just hateful. My brother won't even go around her or my parents because of this and the fact that Mom & Dad refuse to punish her for spreading this lie. So far my sister in law has not heard what is being said but I am sure she will sooner or later. She is a wonderful person and wants children very badly. I think that my parents should give my sister some kind of punishment. What do you think. And yes she knows what she is saying is wrong because I came right out and asked her.

My two year old son had a birthday in April my mom didn't send him anything for his birthday. My sister came out last week and my mom spent 500 dollars at disneyland to celebrate my nieces 6th birthday.Is this right my husband says I am overreacting, I don't think I am.

My son is a sophomore in high school and doesnt seem to take school very seriously. He just found out that he cannot play football this year because of last years grades. I really want him to be successful in school and football. He is smart and VERY athletic. It is not that he cannot do it, he is just choosing not to. I am trying not to put alot of pressure on him but as the new school year approaches, I want to help him anyway that I can to do well in school and to go on to bigger and better things in his life. Any ideas without pushing him further into the "slump"?? Help me out teenagers, let me know what you think.

He owns a 2004 Mazda RX-8 with only 6k miles. He rarely drives it and has another car that he drives all of the time so we don't need the RX-8. We plan on starting a family soon and if he keeps that car I will have to keep working instead of being a stay at home mom. Help!

She has done everything in her power to break us up. She even tried to have an intervention to have my fiance leave me.

My husband married me anyways and she is still hating me a year and a half after our wedding.

We have been together for 5 years but she still thinks we will divorce soon.

She has said she doesn't want her son to have children with me.

My mother has gone through hell having her children from abuse to rape to being mistreated from her own family and friends. But I am no child, I have been married once and I live on my own in my own home. I owe her everything but I dont want to live my life in constant worry that I may upset her or have her not approve of my actions. She is from a Greek background (born there, moved to England when she got married at 18).

Every time i go in my room to relax or calm down my sister barges in like she owns the place and starts trashing my room. I'd lock her out but I'm not allowed to lock the doors.
And when she has somthing of mine i ask her 2 please give it back and she says no. and then she starts sceaming when i take it from her. and i end up getting in trouble. and when i do it to her i still end up in trouble. It seems that every thing that i do some how i'm always the one that ends up with the blame

Ok! I am a 15 year old male teen that gotta babysit my 10-year old brother while my parents are at work, right, and they let him get away with a whole lot of stuff and all of it falls back on me. Plus, my brother don't play attention to whatever I say, like if I said "Brush your teeth", he ignores me or tells me to shut up! What are some ways I can teach him with proper respect and discipline! Thanks !

My mom & dad recently went on vacation. They took my 2 sisters with them. 1 is married with 2 kids. They did not even ask me to go. I probably would have said no because of work, but I would have tried to go. Now they're(mom & married sis) are mad AT ME for being upset with them. Am I in the wrong?

He is 21, and has a girlfriend and now daughter, he wants to get an HGV licence in order to better him self, although I gave him 5 grand after I gave him part of my inheritance, he wants a motorbike, golfclubs, Subaru, and me to lend him the Grand for his HGV...also doesn't have a house, but points out to me if he has the HGV he can buy the house(after 6 months of been at work)

Me and my husband have been together for about 4 years and we have been living with my parents my husband and mom are always getting into it. Me and my huband have a 3yr old boy and 18 mth old girl. My mom kicked him out he was being rude and cursing at her! We havent seen each other in a week nor has he seen the kids. I'm not sure i want him back he treats me like **** but i been sticking it out for the kids i love him but dont like the way he treats me. Now i been asking him to come back my mom says its up to me and he tells me "no" he dont wanna stay wit my mom but he dont have money to get a place for us. What should i do? He is staying with his boss and out partying and drinking and god knows what every night! I dont feel its fair i have to be with the kids and stuff while he is out partying his life away??

Hello, my wife and I are having a hard time deciding whether or not to allow my brother to move in with us. He is 24 and is an alcoholic. He recently made some poor decisions, resulting in the loss of his job, fiance, and credit rating. My parents just kicked him out because of his issues. He currently lives in Chicago, and we live in Los Angeles. I thought perhaps having him "start fresh" out here might get him motivated to move on. As of now, we are all very concerned that he may take his own life.

Any advice and/or experiences are helpful! Thanks!
