I mean no disrespect... it is wonderful celebrities adopt but why don't more of them adopt children that are older and have never really had the opportunity to experience what it's like to have a loving family?

Probably for the same reason that regular people don't. They think that older children will be too much to handle.
Plus some celebrities do it for publicity and everyone thinks they are so great because they adopted this cute little baby or really young child. An older child wouldn't give them the attention that they or their publicists want.

Because they are just like everybody else in the world. Older kids cause problems (that's what people think) And a famous person probably feels the same thing. They have to much baggage. They all are just cowards. The older children need a chance and the children in their own country who without parents need a chance. Good kids just down on their luck.

hollywood celebrities are looking for an EASY photo opportunity. having cute little kids around like pets makes them look good, but give them someone with some real problems, and most won't want to divert any attention away from themselves. And there's always the risk that a 15-year-old will be more mature than themselves, now how would THAT look on ET?

Because everyone wants a baby they think they are cuter. Isn't it a shame we have so many children in our country but most celebrities don't want them?

I think it's because they want to start families (babies, toddlers, watch them grow) but they don't want to go through pregnancy, for fear of their career falling in those 9 months. It would certainly disrupt their career. What they want is babies, but they don't want to have them themselves. They are not interested in older kids, they want young ones so they can raise a family from scratch, if you know what I mean.
