On an emotional stand point, the decision to divorce my ex-husband to me, was the right thing to do. I wasn't in-love with him any more, he abused our relationship by using drugs, wasting money, he didn't take care of the home, he left us in debt, he courted other women, he would go against me, manipulate and he rode on the coat tails of his parents and I.

I stopped going to college when we got pregnant with our first daughter, I sold the condo I owned before we got married in Miami Beach after we bought our house to avoid paying two taxes and worked hard to invest in our future.

Now that I am alone, with 2 young daughters, working full time, paying a ridiculously high rent ( I live in Ft.Lauderdale) Doing everything, taking out the garbage, going to the It seems that I should have just bit my tongue and deal with it.

Now I wake up in the morning scared of what the future will bring, scared that I won't make enough money to support me and the girls, scared I'll be alone.

WORDS WOMEN USE

FINE

this is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

FIVE MINUTES

If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

NOTHING

This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in "Fine"

GO AHEAD

This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.

LOUD SIGH

This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you
over "Nothing"

THAT'S OKAY

This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a
man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

I am a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding, but I still need to send an acceptance card, so would it go to her parents or her fiance's parents? I know the address is her fiance's, but both sets of parents are inviting me... who should I be addressing it to?

A guy at my school (university) asked me out and we went out a couple of times and I really fell in love with him, but then he tells me he is in a period of his life where he wants to be free, and that he is not ready for a relationship. I'm not ready either but I know he is "the one" and the chance of ever meeting someone like that again probably doesn't exist.
I can't tell him how I feel because that's exactly what scares him away, so what am I going to do?

I think it's the parents' discretion to decide whom they trust with their child. I also dont want them to attend the required seminar. They will be flying in from far off places. Is there a way around this and is there a roman catholic church in the bay area who will not require this? please help me.

i'm often upset due to problems at work. my husband, who can be a little bit controlling, is talking about HIM going in to speak to my boss to see if there is anything they can to do ease the pressure. personally i think this is intrusive. it is MY job, MY boss, and MY responsibility to do something about it. should a husband be behaving like this.he says i'm his wife, therefore he is responsible for supporting me in any way he can

They are having problems with my Dad and she shared them with me, so i know what she is going through. She had signs of stroke a while ago and i'm worried the stress she has now might bring it back again and even make it worse.

How do i help her to get thorugh this?

To summarise the problem, it has to do with Infidelity and lack of communication from my Dad. Even when caught he still denies and also he doesnt share some of the bank balances and accounts information with Mum. Its hurting her, and i'm hurting as well.

They have been married for 33years, they started from scratch together and now they have they ever dreamed of and more, the problem is with what Dad is doing now.

I have a good friend who is going no where in his job (and thus in life in general).

Should I tell him to just get into another line of work? Or is this none of my business?

ok, they always say "insecurity" and "low self-esteem" is the root of all jealousy. so work on your self-esteem, right? but surely it is unreasonable to believe that you are the BEST lover your partner could ever have, and that your partner could NEVER leave you, and that you are THE MOST attractive person around... B***S*** i say!
everyone has to live with the RISK of being rejected, and the knowledge that we are not perfect, there are always going to be other people around who your partner could run off with.
so, what do we do? how do you improve your own sense of "security" , and your self esteem. surely this does not mean we should create a DELUSION that we will never be rejected or upstaged by another?

Lets say you know this guy, and you start having a fling with him. You like him a lot, but nobody knows what is going on between you. Suddenly, you dont know from him for a while. Next thing you know, is that your daughter is going out with him and he is really happy for this. You realise your daughter didn't know what was going on between this guy and you.

How would you feel? What would you do? What would you tell your daughter? Would you hate her for "interfering" in what could have been?

In August, a mutual friend hooked me up with a girl who I immediately fell for! And she immediately fell for me! We started dating full speed ahead. She was more at the wheel than I was... wanting me to focus on her and be a one-woman man, etc. I complied with no problem! She even introduced to her parents and I met up with them on several occasions. She would call or text me every morning to say hello and we hung out 4 times a week.

As time went on, she confessed she'd gotten out of a year-long live-in relationship with a guy who was verbally abusive. They'd stopped dating three months prior. Normally that would scare me, but I took a gamble and stuck it out.

Then one day, she broke up with me. Sobbed and said she couldn't do it and thought she was ready. A week later, she took me back and was full-speed ahead with me again. Then after another couple weeks, she dumped me again out fear. I obviously know I should move on, but I miss her badly! What do I do? Advice. No punks, please
