I have a good friend who is going no where in his job (and thus in life in general).

Should I tell him to just get into another line of work? Or is this none of my business?

Perhaps instead of telling him he's going nowhere, why don't you ask him what he wants to be doing in the future? This way you don't antagonize him, and you get an answer no matter what.

I will not say do or not do, just read and learn what a friend really means.

the dictionary stated that a friend is "a person who knows and likes another, a person who favours and supports and a person who belongs to the same side or group."

A friend is someone who knows all about you and likes you anyway. Being a friend means more than recognizing that no one is perfect, it means accepting it.

True friends accept you as well as your weaknesses, but DOES NOT TOLERATE WRONGDOINGS.. they trying to help you overcome your shortcomings, and is happy to see you not dwelling on it. A friend is someone who doesn't ask you to change but HELPS YOU TO GROW.

The most important quality a friend can demonstrate is loyalty. This means standing by you when the going gets a little rough, not just in the good times. It means standing up for you at all times, not letting others demean you in any way, and never taking advantage of you..

Loyalty, support, honesty and acceptance--virtues of a true friend..Good friends allow you to make mistakes that you can learn from and forgive you for them..

A friend respects and supports your choices, but will intervene when he/she believes you have become a threat to yourself and others...

Now i challenge you...are you really a FRIEND to him?

hey, that's what friends are for. good friends act as a check on and support for each other. to keep true to their goals and visions. if his goals have changed, then you have to respect that.

You can suggest a career change for him, but he may not have any ambition. Some people don't.

Unless he's asked you for advice, or expressed to you his unhappiness because of his job, it's not your place to bring it up.
