We were classmate in college. And we have been dating for several months. When we hanged out, he always kissed me and said : "I love you" and stuffs. However, last week, I called him and he said he was at the party with his friend at the park. I thought he had a party and he did not ask me to go with him. This question is for guys: when you have a party with your friends and you don't want your girlfriend to be around, does that mean that you don't love her and you are ashamed to have her as your girlfriend?

My manager at work just invited me to her wedding. I hardly know her. I heard that she is asking for money, but that seems so impersonal and it isn't something I'd like to give.
Are there any ideas that are unique and inexpensive. She has two young children, maybe a movie certificates?
I have no idea.

i asked a guy for his screename but i only knew him for like 2 days, but it was my last chance and i just went for it. after i got the screename, i added him to by buddy list and he came online at 1am that night and i IMed him and things seemed to be going well, we were just talking but then he just stopped IMing for a long time and i looked on the buddylist and he put up his away message. thats weird though because the last thing i said was i asked him a question (it wasnt a weird question or anything either) and then he just signed off like 45 minutes later.

do many guys do this? what does it mean? was he not interested in talking to me? im worried because i like him and want to talk to him, but im afriad he will do this everytime i IM him

that is totally in love with you and you only and puts all of his happiness in the relationship with you. Isn't this the same type of man that holds 'marriage vows' over your head when he becomes fat, unattractive, uninspired, unseductive, and inconsiderate of the way you feel. And then when you try and divorce him, he ends up killing you and then himself?

Maybe the "player" type is the way to go. You'll get good loving and you won't have to worry about restraining orders at the end of the relationship.

I dont smoke, I dont drink, I go clubbing (maybe 2x a mth), single, and yet when I go on a date, they think I will have sex with them after 2 dates! I respect myself and dont put myself to this!!! No, I dont dress or act like sl**t, I like to give respect in order to get respect..Is that so hard to give? Just wanted to know the guys point of view = ) Ladies, you can answer too : P

My mom is 39, going to be 40 this october. She looks good and is not overweight. For the past few months, all she talks about is "don't i look good?" and "don't i look better than her? she looks older than me!" and when the famous question comes "how old do i look?" I lie and say "35" when she really looks like 37. And she gets mad and says "35?! I look 32!" and she gets mad at me because i like playing sports and she says "why do you want to play water polo? why do you want to swim? stop playing soccer!" I don't get it, someone who looks "good" should want their kid to look good too, right?! I hate this because she yells so much now and I just want to help her learn that 40 is not so bad right?

For those who remember fearing their 40th bday, how did you overcome it mentally?

I love playing sports

My mom loves my little sister because she is the best swimmer on the team and i just want to bring her something she can be proud of me, athletic wise. Thank you!

My sister died in 2003 and left her 4 kids to our parents. My father died in 2006 which left the kids with my mother. My mother is irresponsible and is not taking care of them. My sister, my brother- in- law ( my deceased sister's bf) and myself are tring to take custody of my niece and nephew ( the other two are now grown) but we can't because my mother refuses to coperate.Everytime we talk to her its a different story. My mother is homeless and cannot care for them but refuses to even give us the docs we need to do so (birth certificates, ss card, insurance cards ect..). And the court system won't do anything unless we have my mother arrested. We can't go get the docs without proof of custody.. Does anyone have any ideas ????? What can we do. We are in FL and the kids are 12 and 15

I just recently got married and a girlfriend that stood up proved to be a disappointing attendant. From not caring about things before the wedding or even on the day, to not getting a gift I was majorly disappointed. I confronted her with everything and her excuse was that she was "offended" and found it "tacky" that I asked her not to bring a guest. The story is she planned on bringing one of her girlfriends who she runs off with and carouses with, and I know she would have been even worse of a bridesmaid, disappearing and making it truly about her. I have consulted various etiquette websites about this and they all say I am not obliged to invite one of her friends as a guest. I also thought it would be bad to have this girl sit with a bunch of people she didn't know for the dinner. I did forward a verbal invite through my bridesmaid to have her come to the after dinner which her friend did come to. What are your thoughts on this? If you need more details let me know.

We were getting a little hot and steamy last night... was making out, she got me pretty worked up eventually. And I asked her if she wanted to have sex and shes like no. I got kinda mad, because she is the one that initiated it all. Is that selfish of me? I just got really silent, and kinda just wanted to be by myself after that! My fiance and I have been together for almost 4 years, and now that we're getting ready to plan our wedding, I'm second guessing it. About 2 years ago we had broke up for about 6 months and both started dating other people, but decided to get back together.
