i asked a guy for his screename but i only knew him for like 2 days, but it was my last chance and i just went for it. after i got the screename, i added him to by buddy list and he came online at 1am that night and i IMed him and things seemed to be going well, we were just talking but then he just stopped IMing for a long time and i looked on the buddylist and he put up his away message. thats weird though because the last thing i said was i asked him a question (it wasnt a weird question or anything either) and then he just signed off like 45 minutes later.

do many guys do this? what does it mean? was he not interested in talking to me? im worried because i like him and want to talk to him, but im afriad he will do this everytime i IM him

Sakura A, Dear that is just how some people are. Men and women can be coldhearted creatures ! Better luck next time.

He might be easily distractable and forgot you were there, or he had to leave and forgot he was talking to you. It does seem kind of ignorant from your end, but he's not necessarily ignoring you. I know, I actually often do this to people myself, but I'm a woman, so I can't say if many guys do this. I find guys to usually be rather attentive and always announce if they're going to be gone a while.

Mention to him that he did this the next time you talk, however, and ask why he just left you hanging like that. Hopefully you have conversations saved, so you can show him the last couple things you talked about, and the question, so he'll remember and have a clue what the question was for.

PS: Don't let everyone ragging on you about talking to someone online deter you. Though there is an extra element of danger and fraud, but its the best way for some people to meet others.

How can you really like a stranger.. the thing about talking to guys on-line (if it is a guy) people hide behind these screen names and pretend to be alot of things they are not.. why don't you turn off the computer and go out meet people at your school or on your job,,, at a social meeting or something.. these on line deals can also turn out to be very dangerous..

I would assume that his wife woke up. Better to leave this alone meet a man in the real world. Less B.S. that way. Not by much but at least you know what you know instead of what someone tells you.
