Are bridal showers women only events? I have a vague recollection of a male friend at my friend's bridal shower, but I got there late because of work and the party was mostly over... so I don't know if he came afterwards like I did, or if he was there the whole time.

If it is an all-female event... is there a male equivalent? I don't want my fiance left out of the celebrations. We're such a team, we usually do everything together.

used to know a girl when I was a shorty (family friends) but we never used to actually speak to each other, but I used to go play with her younger brother a lot. 20 years later I saw her while I was overseas (we now in our late 20's). We went out to dinner and theatre to catch up. She told me when we were little she didn't speak to me as she didn't know what to talk to me about. Now we get along pretty well and we talked for hours - she told me about the past and what she been upto since. I payed for dinner so she asked if I mind if she pay for theatre. I notice she put her hand in my pocket when I put my money in it as she wanted to see my money clip I use. when I suggested I send her something when I got back as a thank you gift, we stopped at her place and she gave me a gift to take home. She hug me goodbye.

The girl is sending some sort of signal but what is it?

Is Hindu the most common religion in Taiwan?

I am told that when a Hindu plans to marry the engagement is the event that is celebrated more so than the actual wedding.

All the family and friends celebrate at the engagement party.
Is that correct.

If everyone goes to the engagement party then what happens at the actual marriage service.

Who much would someone expect it will cost to marry a Hindu?

I was dating a guy a while back, lets call him "S" but my problem is not with S, is with his best mate, let's call him "T".
T told me that he likes me a lot (he knew i was dating S) but my relationship with S was not serious..
T asked S if we had sex, and S replied back: yes we did!
and then since that day, T is treating me very strange.. he is ignoring my messages..
I got really upset that he asked this question to S, why he is so interested anyway..?
I asked T, why he stoped talking to me, but he said he did not stop.. but i noticed the way he is treating me.. iam not stupid... just today he igored me.. Why is he acting like that?

T is 32 and S is 31

I recently (on Tuesday) found out that my daughters biological father passed away in May (2007) from a drug overdose. First of all I'm devastated that I found out 49 days after it happened and I think going to the funeral would have helped me with the acceptance and closure I'm struggling to have. I still cannot accept that he is gone..that he's dead..and it was by overdose.

He always had drink and drug problems, he was an addict when I met him..well at that time recovering. I was very young 17, he was older, 36. He was more like a friend to me then a lover, and he helped me get my life steered into a positive direction.. I stayed on that course of a "better life", he didn't and I feel terribly guilty now that hes gone. I feel like its my fault. I feel like if he would have had a reason to straighten out he would have and he wouldn't be dead. I think his reason was supposed to be our daughter, and I kept her away.

let me explain the whole situation :

a guy comes to this country and then found a girl , they both liked each other and then decided to marry in two weeks . they got married but girl never treat that guy like a husband and even after marriage she want to go alone everywhere and she don't want him to stop her from anything.
Finally that guy thought that he won't stop her from anything but she has something else on her mind.
They never spent one day as husband and wife .
If she was not ready to married, why she marry that guy . Now she is saying that she did married only because of her father.
Now what is the fault of that guy ?????

Please don't make marriage a joke -my thinking.
Any good advice will be appereciated in this case.

He asked me to be his "girlfriend". We're in love and talk of getting married and having a family. Everyone that sees us thinks we are the cutest couple. I have been divorced for a year and a half now and my ex and I have a six year old daughter together. Since the divorce, my ex has seriously turned to drugs and is living off of whomever he can. He received a large cash settlement recently and has continuously promised to our little girl that when he got his money that he would do special things with her and take her anywhere she wanted. I do not let her go with him because of his status and was content with him visiting her at my home. Since receiving his money, which has been about a month ago, he has not called or attempted to see her and she has been very upset lately. She loves her father dearly and in her eyes, can do no wrong. I constantly tell her that her dad loves her no matter what. I don't know what else to do. This man is obviously spending his time partying with the money he has received. What else can I do and say to comfort her? I'm tired of him hurting her. If she only knew she was better off without him.

My mom died when I was 13... I'm getting married next May (I'll be 23) and think it would be special to wear my mom's wedding dress. It's in pretty good shape... a little outdated, but I'm thinking of having someone that custom makes dresses cut off the sleeves, make it strapless, etc. to make it more modern day with a look that I'd like. I have the style in my mind that I'd like to change it to... but I don't know anyone that has ever done this. I want to see some before and after pictures of people who have done this with their mother's wedding dress. Did you do this? Do you have pictures? Or do you know a website where I could find before and after pictures of a mother's dress transformed for her daughter's wedding???

My boyfriend and I just moved in together a couple of months ago and since we've moved in I have not had ONE vaginal irritation, but before we moved in I got one atleast once a month and I've only had sex with him. His family seems to make my life and living hell and when I questioned him about it he acts all nonchalant like I'm an idiot...And I've had this burning feeling in my gut thats been telling me thats he's done something behind my back so I dont know what to think. There are alot more details and pieces to the puzzle but from the little you've heard what do you think?
