Some say that girls mature faster and a result the guy should be older?

Others say that a woman typically outlives a man, therefore the woman should be older.

What's your opinion.

Doesn't matter if they are good for each other.

I think to each his own. I think it's really cool when a woman gets with a younger guy cause guys thought they were the only one's who could do that....but we can too. Although, I've never known a female who was with a younger man that worked. They always ended up splitting. I've been married twice and divorced twice. The first was almost 6 years older than me. The second was 6 months younger than me. The second and I had way more in common. We graduated high school the same year, had the same music interests, were the same age when different things happened in our lives. We were also less serious about day to day things. The first husband had more control of things and also treated me like I was his child, not his wife. So it has it's ups and downs. As long as a man knows how to treat a lady I think anything can work. Mutual respect is very important. Age is only a number.

Personally, I think it's pretty dumb for people to be worrying about what may or may not happen 60 years down the road. They ought to be more worried about getting a couple through a successful first 10 years of a relationship with marriage, kids, etc. One never knows......you could get run over by a truck any day, and with divorce so high today people should be paying a lot more attention to the more immediate future.
With that said, a man that is 5 to 10 years older is much more likely to be "in tune" with a woman in matters such as socializing, family, children, and career. It's pretty trendy to have the older woman/younger man thing going on now, and that's fine for celebrities that have millions of dollars to blow. As for the rest of us, men and women tend to be much more on the same page at the same time concerned about the same issues when the man is 5 to 10 years older.

Your question makes me smile and laugh a little inside. Yes it's true, women mature approx. two years in advance, how ever..... The reason i laugh and smile at your question is because i am dating a younger man.
And he is just as mature and responsible as i.
You see.... as people we grow with our surroundings and the enviorment that is placed infront of us is what makes us grow into what we are. It has nothing to do with age. I know women out there who are 23 yrs old and they act like their only 15. And my younger boyfriend, he acts more mature for his age.
So... my answer for you is neither "SHOULD" have to be older then the other. If you find someone who is older or younger then you.... the matter of the question is "Are they right for you?"

I think the man should just be fun. You know don't get old and be old. I prefer older or right at my age. I am almost 31 and I would date anyone over 27 who still had the heart of a child... But, was a man. Does that make sense?

I prefer an older guy. They seem to know what they're doing. They are more mature and more well behaved(Most Times). I once dated a guy who's younger than me and let me tell you it was the worst decision I've ever made. He always embaressed me when we went out to dinner with friends. Always makes a big scene. Doesn't know how to behave properly. Always says the wrong things. Believe me older guys are better!

well it really all depends on the people in the relationship. I mean yes in MOST cases its true that women mature faster then men however there are those few girls out there that are stuck on stupid and don't really know their *** from their elbow that can benefit from being with a younger guy because there are a few of them out there that are actually quite mature for their age.

Age is nothing but a number and has nothing to do with anything it's all about how you feel about each other. My boyfriend is older then me but were pushing on 9 years together. You would think we have nothing in common but thats not true. We share the same LOVE for one another and thats all that matters.

It really doesn't matter. Sometimes a girl has to be more mature to keep a hammer lock on the guy and sometimes you might be darned glad if the old geezer just up and died just to get rid of him. It's 6 on one side and 1/2 a dozen on the other.

age is but a number. it really depends on the level of maturity of a person. an older person does not necessarily have more wisdom than a younger one. what's more important is that two people in a relatioship can communicate on the same level.

It's who ever you fall in love with, older or younger. I don't think it makes a big difference unless you are like my bro and marry a woman younger than your own daughter and you are older than her parents. That's just over the edge to me.
