No. Marriage is not a joke.I really admire people that have had a long marriage. Its something very special. In to days society it seams to be as easily desposed of as disposable . nappies. It's something that needs to be worked on by both parties. Commitments made together. sharing lifes ups and downs. A lifetime of past, present and future to be shared.

I think it is a dream. Some people are lucky enough to live their dream. Others are doomed to keep trying and never finding the right place to be at the right time.
It can be wonderful and terrible. All at the same time.
If I had it to do over again. I wouldnt do it.
But there are alot of people very happy, and good for them.
Good Luck

in a country where people can marry total strangers for money (or in one case for height-ie "who wants to marry a midget), or where the divorce rate is over 75 (SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT)%, and people who truly love each other can't because they have matching genitals, yes I suppose it is a joke. Although I am quite happy in mine, America has made a once glorious union into a three ring circus...

Marriage is an institution that was created by God. So no, I wouldn't think of making fun of HIM.

Absolutely. It's a pathetic tool of social control and primarily mandated by right wing morons and irrelevant religions (whose ministers are having drug fuelled orgies paid for by their congregation while preaching fidelity from the pulpit).

No.
I love my husband, and I love our marriage.
That's not to say we don't joke. I think laughter in love is really important.
But our marriage is very, very important to us.
