We have been together for one and a half years..this is the first time he has ever become violent with me. We had both been drinking a considerable amount. He is completely appalled by his behavior and has been seeking therapy. He has told his family what happened and why we broke up. I still love him...and know he needs help for his anger. I am completely hurt and angry and I am not sure I could trust him enough to be with him again. I am wondering if there is any hope for him to never do this again...and for us to be healthy and happy again? I had an abortion 2 months prior to this...This was something he did not want me to do and after it was done I realized it was not what I wanted either. Since this experience we have had a lot of issues with depression and sadness. Part of me feels that this is what triggered his violence towards me.

A few things I'm wondering:

Say two people got married in Ohio, but lived in Florida, and wanted to get a divorce....is it Florida laws that determine how your divorce goes? Does it matter where people get married anyway?

What if the couple went to another state (one they didn't live in) to get divorced? Would they now be under different laws?

Is any state known for having divorce laws that are more fair than most, or that help the women a lot in a divorce?

I'm not getting divorced (cuz I'm not married!), but I just want to get info. Thanks!

We had been married for 4 years. She had certain genetic malfunctions, in which the major one has been "Infertility". This part was not revealed b4 our marriage. We got to know about this after she delivered a incomleted, premature baby (later died), possibly one last time in her life. Her behaviour was most associated with Readymade anger, insulting behaviour, searching a cause to fight, contiuing aurguments, often leadeing to voilent behaviour not only on to me but my parents also. Perhaps knowing all this well before marriage itself, her parents delayed her marriage and now are threatining me time and again saying that I am being cruel to her. Her anger lasts days and weeks together. Her parents still nurture her anger. Whenver she feels angry, she does all that show off, voilence and sits at her parents house for weeks and months. In these 4 years she hardly spent 4 months in total in my house? Is this a purposeful marriage?

my best friend is going out with a huge loser and they have been having sex and she is taking birth control. her mom has no clue what goes on between them and she would probably kill her if she found out she was having sex. Her mom found her birth control bills and now she told her mom that they are mine. I have a good reputation and would never ever have sex in high school or do anything remotely sexual. I am very pissed. Should i threaten my friend to tell her mom the truth? Should i talk to my mom about it so she can talk to my friends mom? Or should i just let it go? How great is this revenge from 0-10?
In high school there were girls who picked on me because I was fat, nerdy with glasses. But now after high school I am the man. I have the biggest muscles and the baddest urban wear. When I came home from college some of those girls who picked one me tried to get with me and I rejected them and laughed in their face or I either ignore them like they did not exist. Is that great revenge?

My husband to be has changed his life and has made changes in his life to better our future...meaning cutting out the alcohol and day long drinking binges @ the bar with his friends.

As a business owner with a multi million $$ company he realized how much better everything would be if he ran it sober. Doing 60 days in tent city in Phx AZ woke him up. Now he is going through these up and down spells. One minute he is my best friend, the next a total ***.

He admits he has urges and is fighting them hard. Tells me our relationship is the only white light to his battle. I am by his side but wonder how long does the dry out time take.

He's taken up running and tennis to help with the time and other hobbies are helping, but its the mood swings that are killing me...CAN ANYONE HELP WITH SOME ADVICE!

So i am a teen who goes to school & works part time. I have my learners. Pretty much all of my days consist of going to school, working, and spending time at my boyfriends house after work. Because of my parents having alcohol issues in the past they've pushed me away from them and not want to be home anymore, so i am spending more and more of my time at my boyfriends. I constantly feel like i am being used by my parents. They only want me home when they need me to clean the house or babysit my sister who is 10 years old. It's like every time i have plans im forced to cancel my plans or drop everything im doing at my parents every whim. Everything is always blamed on me. i feel unwanted, my boyfriends family is more of family to me than mine is. what should i do?

how should i talk to this guy in my youth group that i like?
whenever he starts to walk over to me. my face gets all red and i walk somewhere else and then act like i never saw him walking towards me.

you wanna know something? i dont believe there is a such thing as peer pressure.. im 16 and i've never been 'pressured' into doing anything... by ANYONE!!! i believe there isn't peer pressure.. but instead there are just stupid people who dont have any common sense!

"oh i smoked pot.. because my friends said i should try it.. the peer pressure was TOO much!"

i see "oh, i'm too stupid to realize a friend wouldn't ask me to do something STUPID! so.. even though i have been in health since elementary hearing "you will die if you smoke pot" im gonna do it anyways.. because im an idiot"

i mean... am i the only sensible teen? *barring my friends.. who are equally unstupid* are we the only people who aren't the steryotypical stupid teen who has sh!t for brains?
