my best friend is going out with a huge loser and they have been having sex and she is taking birth control. her mom has no clue what goes on between them and she would probably kill her if she found out she was having sex. Her mom found her birth control bills and now she told her mom that they are mine. I have a good reputation and would never ever have sex in high school or do anything remotely sexual. I am very pissed. Should i threaten my friend to tell her mom the truth? Should i talk to my mom about it so she can talk to my friends mom? Or should i just let it go? I am tired of being the push over!

If you are tired of being the push over, put your foot down. You may want to talk to your Mom first and discuss if you and your Mom should have a talk with your friend and/or her Mom.

You should not be covering up information for you friend that could be potentially dangerous. I do not know how old you are, or more importantly how old your friend is, but if she is under the age of eighteen, she is not legally able to be giving consent for this loser to be having sex with her.

He would be considered to be a rapist, and could be charged as a sexual predator. Her Mom would have every right to bring charges against him, and I hope she does so.

Your friend is being intelligent about using birth control, but if she is not insisting that her loser boyfriend uses a condom, she can still be catching STDs and HIV/Aids from this loser. Birth control pills are not 100% fool proof, and she could still get pregnant.

I have a feeling that if she is scared of her Mom finding out, she is underage.
I don't blame her mother for being frightened of this type of thing going on with her daughter, it is a scary situation.

You are obviously a very mature and intelligent young lady, keep your good reputation, you can only have a sexual relationship for the first time only once, and if you do so too young, you will be sorry that you did not wait for the person you want to marry and spend your life with.

Another reason that you want to speak up about this situation is that the fact that your friend lied about the pills being yours, may well get back to your mother and even though she may know that is not true, it would be a big shock for her.

You are a good friend, and even though your friend may get upset at you, you are intervening out of concern for her.

Best of luck to you, if you were my daughter; I would be very proud of you.
