the internet has in many respects closed the distance gap for many people. i know people that live in england, australia, south america and other places i haven't visited around my own country. i haven't fallen in love with all of them but there is one... my question is have you fallen in love with anyone on yahoo! answers and i don't mean do you have a crush on someone. have you started a budding relationship with someone here? if so, have you discussed meeting each other? is the only challenge you have financial? i'm not asking for opinions on whether or not long distance relationships work or if you think people that get romantically involved with people over the internet are stupid. thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks to all for the very interesting points of view on my question.
A little more detail on why I left my husband. He had 7 years sobriety (supposedly) when we got together. I found out that he was drinking again 1 year into our marriage. I later found out that it started before we got married. The lies and dishonesty and the non payments of our bills and everything that goes with alcoholism was just too much for me and my kids (from a previous marriage). I tried to stay and work it out for 2 years. It just never ended. I realized that I couldn't fix him....only me!
He is a good man when he's not drinking. He was also a counselor but refused counseling for himself or us.
I know that there is still compassion on my part for him but I just couldn't live that way any longer. As far as this new guy, hubby does know and of course doesn't like it at all. But I don't believe he's sitting at home baking cookies either!!!!
I really do like this guy and we are good together

I get the state min in Illinois for child support and he is suppose to pay 20% on bonus money which he always hides. I have sole custody. I have not moved. He makes 73k and I barely make 17K. Now he wants 1/2 of the money it costs to fly out pick her up and fly her back. He did not have to move he chose to move. He does not pay for her extra activities, he does not EVER buy her clothes, school supplies or anything else. What are the chances he could win? Can I make him pay for my attorney fees? Could I get him to pay for the extra activities?

last weekend, and the language that followed. The force of his language scared me, and reinforced the safety issue of my daughter with him. Yet, that night he stayed and slept in her bedroom with him. Does she not see where her future is going? Is she afraid of what he might do? Has he already control over her? Do I step in and say something...........or do I wait and see if she will do this on her own.

I have , after last weekend told her that I am here if she would like talk with me. I told her that I love her very much and I want her to be happy.

Where do I go from here??????

if you were walking out on your marriage and you had a whole week with two of your siblings in your home without your wife around, wouldn't you make sure that you removed the most important things to you that are not replaceable out of the home first; such as baby albums, family pictures....etc? or would you leave it behind?

me and my ex split about 2 months ago because i couldnt cope with a death in the family and unfortunately i made a bad decision to break up. she still loves me. shes told me that. she has also said if/when she breaks up with him, we would go back out again. she s kept some important things ive given her. the other stuff she has given back to me to hold onto because one day she "wants to make a scrapbook of all the times we had together." to complicate things. we work next door to each other and her current boyfriend work at the same place. i bought a promise ring for her but i never got the chance to give it to her because of what went down. i love this girl very much and she loves me and i want to marry this girl one day. im better now and an even better person. how can i get us back together now? what steps can i take because i definitely do not want to move on at all. she is absolutely great. the whole package. please help.

I'm a 20 year old female student at University and still a virgin, my best friend thinks I have had sex and I don't want to tell him I haven't, Most people have already lost their virginity at 16. Is it ok 2 still be a virgin? I haven't really had a bf, I am not exactly the typical girl that guys go for. Do you guys find it off putting when a girl has no experience in bed? I do masturbate quite regular

I already made her a picture frame in woodshop, but can't do anything to it because it has varnish on it and it's all routered and pretty, but I sort of want to make something a little more nice for her. She really deserves it. I'm only 12, but I can probably do some things. I have tons of art supplies, and I have alot of woods and stuff around my house, like maybe I could do something with plants or something?

My Dad passed away last week and I didn't go to his funeral because I wanted to go to his house and go through his valuables to get what I wanted before anybody else could. I know this sounds bad but I heard he kept money and stuff hidden under his bed. When I got there, my sister and stepmom were wrestling in the front yard over who got what and so on. That just really chapped me how they could be so slimey and do that. What are your thoughts?

Its not really all that important to me to go to a high school granduation for my significant others son. Its just trying to do the right thing. Should I just forget trying to do something nice or should I send a present.
I really could care less if I attend or not. My kids are all grown and I could be out doing something less boring.

yesterday, i found out that my husband and his siblings had a bow-wow about our marriage and his brothers strongly encouraged him to divorce me. so yesterday i called him and asked him about it and he told me that he was waiting until he can come by and get the rest of the things that he wanted from our place and then he was going to give me the divorce papers. I told him just to send it in the mail and that I would have them sign and he got upset and asked why I did not want him to come over and because I was so hurt I told him because I just rather not see him ever again. All he cares about are the material things that he wants from our home, he has already taken more than half of the house hold furniture, but he still wants more. I just want to get through this. I guess my question is will I ever recover from this hurt and pain? My husband still has not once admit any fault or taken any responsibility for his bad choices in our marriage and still points the finger at me.

for most females, does that mean that she is ready to settle down and be married. does it mean that she loves him and wants to be with him. from a females point of view, what does it mean when they want to live with their boyfriend.

I've always been a pretty shy guy, but still have never had much of a problem with girls, until recently. Had several gfs (who came up to me) in hs and college but now I'm out in the "real" world and that is not happening anymore. Am I just in a "slump" or do I have to learn to start approaching women now in clubs and bars (dating scene)? Any advice.

ps If you're gonna make fun of me, that's okay too. Just make sure it is witty.
