Its not really all that important to me to go to a high school granduation for my significant others son. Its just trying to do the right thing. Should I just forget trying to do something nice or should I send a present.
I really could care less if I attend or not. My kids are all grown and I could be out doing something less boring.

Are you sure you want to participate in your " SO's" life or are you there for selfish reasons. It's called respect and sharing the proud moment.
Get happy and remember how proud you were of your own kids. Maybe you have this attitude because of resentment and fear.
By all means try to do the "nice" thing , Always.

the suitable difficulty to furnish is something that they could use. once I graduated extreme college, human beings gave me those sentimental books and that they are all packed in a container and that i've got not touched them when you consider that. the suitable provides I have been given have been the dishes and cups and a bath to bathe them in, or the money I used to purchase my first laptop, or the address container crammed with college components like pencils and staples and placed up-its that I nonetheless use 8 years after graduating.

Wow......if you love your SO, you'd go. You say you could care less about going.....but, have thought about how both, your SO and his son, would feel about you being there? Ya know....it's not always about you. This is a big milestone for him. I wouldn't even want a gift from someone with your crappy attitude. I hope your SO dumps you.......you don't sound worthy.

Wow. Does your SO realize how apathetic and detached you are?
Graduation for a student is a big deal. You could at least act like you care if not for the kid for your partner....

Man do you have your priorities wrong. Evidently you dont like the kid. Did your SO go to your kids grad? If so you should go to his. Sounds like you're cold and callous.
