We are getting married in August and are trying to cut costs. We have a web-page set up on theknot.com and you can have people RSVP online. Do you think this is tacky or a good way to save money (on response cards, envelopes, and stamps?)? We can also put hotel info. and additional details on the website...

This question is mostly for men, though i suppose women can weigh in as well. I know and meet an awful lot of men who say that if they ever caught their wife or girlfriend with another man, he would be dead meat. In many circumstances, the other man may not know he is the other man, or if he does, he doesn't know the husband or boyfriend so why feel any personal responsibility? I have never understood the mentality of taking it oout on the other man. I think that if you catch your wife or girlfriend cheating, it is all on her!!! She deceived you, cheated on you, betrayed you.... The other man, as long as he is not a friend of yours, did nothing to hurt you.

He has two kids, I have 0. We're both celebate until marriage. He wants to wed right away, and I want to wait. I want to have the engagement, experience the joy of planning a wedding, and most important, get to know him better so I'll know I made the right decision! He says I'm being selfish because since we know that we're gonna get married ANYWAY, why not just do it now? So that we can start "doin what married folks do", as well as so that his children will have a mom. I know he's motivated because of those reasons, but I just don't have that same motivation. I love my life as is (quiet and drama free), and I dont feel the need to rush into anything so quickly. He's becoming increasingly impatient with me. Hes a GREAT guy in all other ways, and I dont wanna lose him, but then again, I dont wanna rush either! Am I the selfish one???

I am 25 & have been married for almost 6 years. We have 2 children. Got married because I was pregnant. It wasn't because of love. There was a time when I was in love with my husband, but the feeling was not mutual. Now almost 6 years later, he is so in love with me, but I do not feel in love with him. I met another man & am so drawn and smitten by him. So what do I do? Tell my husband I do not love him and chance loving the other man, or stay with him for the kids. I don't want to hurt him. It would break his heart if I told him.

I'm married 4 yrs & know my husband 7 yrs. We were v close & thot I found my soulmate & had a perfect marriage, so I concentrated on my career & worked late due to hectic proj schedules.

He started having an affair a yr ago with a woman who's 9 yrs older than him. The woman got pregnant & now they have a daughter. He has been holding off our marriage life cos of this & it has since been unresolved on both sides. He's been staying at his parents' hse. I've given him a lot of time to think about what he wants & yesterday, he told me he wants me back but need to break up with other woman fairly without making her feel that he hasn't given her a chance to prove that they could be together after divorcing me.

He asked me to let him fake divorce papers for her to see & give him another 6 mths - 1 yr to be with her & let her know that he still wants me back. If not, he said she will do crazy things to us.

I find this approach stupid & ridiculous. Should I get a divorce? I'm v fed up.

I don't understand why men are turning emotional in relationship these days. If you wanted to break up with him, he just simply threaten you that he's gonno hurt himself or commit suicide. I felt that this is unbearable as I'm having the same situation.

Ive been in a relationship with my boyfriend for a while and during our relationship he's been going to court for a crime he commited over a year ago ( not a violent crime or sexual or anything ). He's good to me, treats me & my son good. Since we've been together, he's been going to night school and doing everything he can to better himself. Today he had to go to court, and he called me this morning to tell me he loves me and that his lawyer said he's going to jail. He usually calls me back everytime he gets out of court, to let me know what happened and I haven't heard anything back from him yet. Im really worried about him and hoping he isn't in jail. And if he is.. I dont know what to do. I know alot of people say all guys in jail are losers, but that's not the case. Some have just made mistakes in their past but have changed since then and I believe that to be true about him. How can I be supportive of him & let him know I love him without stopping my life?

i just turned 29 last week, am a mother of 3 beautiful kids, 2 girls and 1 boy. i met my husband when my oldest daughter was 4 months and we have been together since. we got married 2 years ago on new years eve..it was something very small and plain.. this weekend he asked me to start preparing everything for out big wedding by church. he wants to get married next year in may..i just feel so weird because we have 3 kids. my kids got so happy when he told them that we were going to get married. my oldest daughter cried she said she wants to see me in a big wedding dress and that she and her brother/sister will be my flower kids...i told my mother about it but she was not to excited....should i proceed and start preparing everything or should i just stop we are legally married already but just not by church.....

And please don't say, "your ohhh so young." 26 and unmarried is not that young for a woman, I don't want to have kids at...35! And if I bring marriage up to him he gets really defensive - HOWEVER its okay for HIM to bring it up whenever he wants it.

My friends think that instead of renewing our apartment lease in the summer, I should move out if he's not ready yet and get back to focussing more on "me." I don't want to do this, we've put so much time, effort into our place and I love living together--but if he is not ready to commit (by then we will have been together 2 years) then I think changes need to be made.

Suggestions please...I'm feeling pretty low right about now =(

I was going to get married at a country club, and have my reception following at the same place. Since I live in WI, I booked the actual wedding site based on a photo I saw. (http://southhillscc.com/index.cfm?nav_op... When I went to go look at the site this weekend, since the snow is gone, I discovered it is not on the golf course, or anywhere by it. It is right next to the entrance of the country club, in the back of the parking lot, and about 25 yards from the interstate! So I would be coming about 100 yards across the parking lot to the site in a golf cart- and then have my ceremony performed in front of every commuter on their way home and be surrounded by over 150 guests and golfers cars! I no longer want to have anything to do with this place, but I gave them $800 to hold my day- which I want back, and need to give to another hall. How do I make them give it to me, and what do I say? I don't want to threaten to take them to small claims, I just want my cash!
