meaning.. love makes you vulenerable to deception, and to honesty. depending.
so with that in mind.
do you let go of love to save you from the pain?
or do you continue to risk being heartbroken to be loved, and give love?

First of all, no one can define love. It defies logic. Attraction is one thing. LOVE is a whole other ballpark. It is a feeling that you can't explain. Something in the core of your being that says this person is a part of your soul. You are in pain without them.
And for some inexplicable reason, humans tend to hurt the ones they love. So it doesn't matter if you change or don't, or if he changes or doesn't. One or the other is going to do or say something mean or hurtful to the other out of anger, frustration, confusion, fear, or number of other emotions. I have come to accept the fact that people hurt other people, though unintentionally, all the time. Nothing can save you from getting hurt. So would I change for the better...for myself, absolutely; for someone else, never; for the betterment of a relationship between myself and my soul mate, yes. I would chose love because their is no more incredible feeling than truly being in love, and their is no greater pain than when you lose that love. But it's either experience that love and loss or live in complete and total isolation for the rest of your days.

When you love, you live a fuller, richer life! The great news is that you'll survive a broken heart so why not give in to love, enjoy the passion and pay no mind to all these other details that may or may not even become part of your relationship?!

Even though I don't really understand the question.......I don't see TRUE love here or what LOVE really means here at all. Just remember that love is unconditional. I would want to be loved that way instead of just some word being thrown out there that others don't really know the meaning of.

Love is basically a hurting thing but I'd prefer love....though...every thrill theres another heartache.....When shes in your arms your king on the throne but when your apart ya walk the streets all alone...one day is happiness the next day is lonliness....Love brings joy and pain.......We're all fools to keep on loving each other cause our heart maybe broke into two....

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8,13

I wouldn't change myself for the mere sake of suiting another's fancy, but would definitely change to be a better person.

no pain - no gain

If you don't trust and can't be open & vulnerable, you can't develop a loving relationship
