Im in love with this girl. Shes the most popular girl in scool. Im more or less a loser here. Im not good at anything besides school. I get picked on all the time. im 18 and Ive been with my girlfriend for almost 6 months now and dont feel like i love her yet??? is it because we spend too much time together???? we have had our arguements and broken up 3 times and gotten back together but i feel as though if this was the girl im marrying that i would of loved her the first month we were together...???? i believe two people can fall in love in the first week but dont really know???? My dad is under psychiatrist's care right now and my mom has not recieved any child support from him in quite a while. its just that im an only child, my father is Guyanese(west indian) and mother is Peruvian (spanish). ALL of my family lives in both of those countries as well as New Jersey and parts of New York. due to this i guess i never really developed the tools necessary for socializing especially with girls/relationships. i have good intentions and high hopes unfortunately, and it seems i get either turned down ALOT or that girl already has a bf already. Met a girl who trained me at an old job of mine. Ever since, we'd have deep convos where she'd usually call me, and confide in me about a lot for hours on end. She also would laugh at things I didn't mean to be funny, and was apologetic alot when she didn't need to be. She would also call me up during a holiday and also spent 5 hours on the phone with me the other night, apologizing saying how she had been busy because of her job.

She does have a boyfriend though, that's why I'm not pushing it. They been together for 4 years, but she'll tell me that it's not the greatest, and when she goes over there she makes it sound like its a night job rather than spending time with him. She also says to me that she's faithful.
What is it that's going on......exactly? Is there more to it than can be assumed already?
BTW, here relationship is on the outs and she's telling me she's getting out?
I haven't heard back from her yet about the party and she swore she'd let me know soon.

I have known these girls forever. One of them is quite close to me..I'm the first person she calls when she's upset and has problems with her boyfriend. When I hang out with each of them alone, it's fine. But when they are together, and we're in a trio, they pick on little things that I do...like a simple hand gesture, they will make fun of what I did and make it seem like it looked so hilarious. They will keep laughing in a very exaggerated manner for a very long time. I think this is so immature and I know they're exaggerating on purpose. I don't understand why they do this, but it happens every time we hang out in a trio. When we go out quite a few men tend to look at me, so I thought it might be jealousy...but I think they are attractive too, especially one out of the 2 (and she seems to have a very high self esteem too). I just don't know how to stop this, it's really getting on my nerves. It's immature, childish, and I just want it to stop. Any suggestions on what's going on here

Many people think I'm crazy, but I'm divorcing after 17 years of marriage. I was married to a nice but stale man. Never wanted to work hard, didn't want friends, felt the kids were annoying. All he wanted was to be coddled and have sex daily. He said his mother never gave him affection, and after 13 counselors telling me to love him to maturity, I got sick of it and left. How can people tell a woman to be a mother to help a boy be a man. Since he's nice, only close friends and family saw the truth. He's on all kinds of meds now for depression, and I feel bad, but we need to do something in society to help men not to be this way. My girls wont date, scared they'll get a man like this. They won't even go to church, can't understand how we could go to church 3X/week and the church be OK with a dad who wants to stay home and is obsessed with his wife. My kids were never allowed to sleep in our bed or even be breastfed because of his insecurity. Good riddens!

I am not a child, a grown lady. I have pride in myself. After a 5 year relationship realizing more than ever now I was so used, how do you put this to rest in your own mind? I never allow things to consume me, this is. I feel like such a fool. I gave out of compassion and love. When he needed help I was the only one willing to stand by him. This is a man that is 60 not 16! I understand he is a user now, I understand he manipulated. I get the full picture. How do you successfully close this chapter of your life and move forward. Why do I feel like I need to tie him to a tree and speak everything on my mind. I feel like closure is not possible until I am able to penetrate him where by I know he heard every word and it cut him like a knife. Then I will know he understands the pain he causes by this game he plays. Any honest real suggestions. I have written a letter but he is jackass enough to toss it in the garbage without reading it. School is getting quite difficult. It's the top school in the city and yeah...you can guess I am under a lot of stress. Should I just give up the things I love to do and just study full time? My friend says no, my happiness is more important. However, I don't want to drop out of this school because I want to stay with my rival and friends, however it is really putting a strain on my abilities. My grades have been dropping really low and my parents just can't seem to understand that I'm in a top competitive school and it should be normal for me to get worser grades.
