Best policy is to never date a girl that used to be your best friends girl friend. If you truly feel bad about it, then you must feel guilty. Even if he doesn't care, the fact that you feel bad is reason enough not to do it. I have never seen good come from situations like this. Explain to the girl that your best friend means to much to you to jepordize his friendship. Could even strengthen the bond with your best friend when he sees you don't want to continue to see the girl, because of your friendship. Good luck

You feel bad because you are a good friend. If you get to feeling too bad then dump her and move on.

Because before, you used to see the two of them together, and in your mind, they always seemed to be an "item." It might be b/c you feel a little strange in changing this idea in your head, and placing yourself in there instead. At least, that's how it was for me.

you should never do that. its an unspoken rule, never date your best friends exs, even if they say they dont care. think about it, what if your best friend would date one of your ex's??..u wouldnt like that would you??..you should feel bad.
