I knew two students in my physics class that was so stressed at not knowing the info that they both decided not to study and not to take the exam. As a teacher would you give them an extra chance to make it up or give them a 0 or why?

I applied Early Decision. I have heard many schools give responses to ED sometime in December, but I have heard nothing specific to Columbia U.

that all children need a male role model because women couldn't possibly raise them right on their own? He also stated that lesbians couldn't raise a child right and would only confuse them. Lastly, he stated that all little boys aspire to marry a woman who is their maid, mother and prostitute all wrapped up into one.
What do you think of this horse's behind?

currently taking 12 credit, now drop to 9 credit. My question is will it affect my financial aid, for the next semester in the college i am transferring to? (been accepted to the college which i have applied)

I want to apply as a transfer (from a 2 year school to a 4 year school). I will graduate with nearly a 4.0 average, and didnt think I'd have a problem getting into schools, but most around me require 20+ hours of community service per month. I have 4 kids, I do not have 20 hours a month! How picky do you think they will really be on this requirement? I currently do a couple of hours a month.

I have no clue on what to do. I am going to school to become a teacher but I don't have the patience for teaching or children. I change my mind a lot and I'm driving my family nuts. I keep thinking about theatre, acting, and directing. I love the idea of working in that kind of world but people keep telling me to go for something that I could actually make it at but I think I could make it. I can always imagine myself acting. I just love everything about it. I need some advice. What should I do? Should I go for what I want? Should I listen to my family? What?

This is a weird question I wanted some responses to. Here's my story.

I always wanted to be a film major but my high school grades weren't good enough for admission into a four year school so I went to community college for three semesters. I was told that Communication would be the closest field the school offered that would give me any insight into film for when I would want to pursue my Bachelor's.

I transferred out of community college with 30 something credits and started going to a 4 year university as a Filmmaking major. I hated the school so I transferred out and am now finishing out my B.A. as a Film & Media Arts major at another university. I'm also double majoring in Journalism.

I never finished my Associate's in Communication (since I left with the credits) and part of me feels unaccomplished. When I get my B.A. I feel like going back to community school for a semester or two just to obtain the additional degree. Does this seem pointless if I'll already have a Bachelors?

When a course list comes out and the instructor's name is put as "staff," it means that the teacher teaching the course is not finalized yet right?

Is it usually a good idea to take a course taught by a "staff" not knowing who will teach it?

I am getting my bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I was wondering if you can go straight into the masters program the following fall quarter after getting the Bachelor's degree. My school told me I had to have 1 full year of full time work. Is that true about all schools? Also, do they have P.h.D'S for business? If so, do you have to do master's, then go into the p.h.d program? Do you also have to work a year or more before going into the p.h.d. program?? Please let me know!

I am 21 and supposed to graduate college in May 2008, and there is a mobile home on the market for only $15,500. When the realtor called me about the mobile home, she told me I would need to have a job, and to call her back when I get a job (after college). When I am not on campus I must stay with my father, cousin, and all of her kids at my grandma's house, which is so hectic that my father and I just want to get into our own place, so getting into the mobile home is very important to me. In addition, I will need to begin paying my student loans off 6 months after I graduate. But I have always had trouble getting a job even despite my resume and references, and I have never even been able to get a paying job before, and I can't even drive. So I am extremely worried that I will not get one after I graduate college. Please help. How can I make sure that I will have a job when I graduate college? The job could be working at McDonalds for all I care, just as long as I have one.
