It very well could. At my school, dropping below full-time student status (12 credits) affects financial aid. At other schools, though, it could be different.

My advice would be to talk to an advisor at your current school, and call the admissions or financial aid office of the school you're transferring to before dropping it. They know best what will affect your student status and financial aid, since every school is different.

It depends; you'll have to check the requirements for your aid first. Some require that you take a full load (12 credit hours) and will not support you if you take less than that. However, a withdrawal - your transcript will show a big W and you won't get any credit - may not count as a drop in class since you took it for a certain period of time. Best contact the financial aid office/contact for that particular loan/aid.

It may affect financial aid because dropping that class might put you in part-time status. In that case you would receive financial aid as a part-time student, because financial aid checks are distributed at the end of the semester they would automatically deduction the difference in financial aid. For more information contact your school's financial aid office.

As for your current acceptance - I don't think it would matter because they have accepted you based on transcripts you have already given.

It will probably effect your financial aid for this term at your current school, as you would be going from full time to part time status, and that would mean your entire aid would need to be redone.
