hey :)

after a LOT of thinking i've decided to get the canon xti, it's light and i think it meets my needs reffering a dslr...but i've got a couple of cuestions...since i'm saving some money (considering i wanted the sony a700), i'd like to get a lense or two...

i photograph basically everything, and i really want to grow into a proffessional in the field. landscapes, portraits, macro, night...the point is that i have no idea what lense to get, since this would be my first slr...

considering that the kit lense is the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, i was thinking about getting the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens...i've also always loved pictures taken with the fisheye, so i was considering the Tamron 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens with 0.25x Fisheye Lens...

i'm not quite sure about the performance of third party lenses, but i'm sure someone will be able to help me out, or recomend me any other lense that'd work for me...

thanks in advance!

I bought a kodak easyshare V603, 6.1 megapixles, and I absolutely cannot take quality pictures. I take just simple pictures of objects and it turns out horribly. I take better pictures with disposable cameras, honestly. I'm not familiar with photography techniques, but I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't be this difficult to take pictures. I've messed with ALL of the settings. Anybody have advice.

For those of you wondering, the pictures turn out very dark and blurry. No matter if it is up close or at a distance, with or without flash, doesn't matter.

For christmas I got a Kodak Easyshare M883 digital camera. It can with the USB but when I plug it in to the computer it is not charging. I don't know why! Is it because of my computer? Mine is a HPpavillion that we bought in I think 2003, 2004, 2002. Or is it because of the battery itself? Is it able to charge with the USB or do I need to buy an actual camera charger. It says that I can charge with the USB but it isn't. So please if you can tell me why in the world my digital camera is not working. I also tried kodak.com but they were no help at all.

Has anyone ever taken a D390 to bits ?
I just bought a 2nd hand one for my 7year old's christmas present;.... BUT the battery's only last for about 5 shots.... I've tried fully charged Ni cd and a brand new set of Duracell AA...After about 5 minutes the battrey check starts flashing red. so I assume there's a short circuit somewher.
As I 'cant take it back' and she's gonna be real p**** off if it doesn't work... i only have one soulution...thats is to take it to bit's to see if there's any thing obvious.
Has anyone had the same sort of problem ? And if so how do I fix it? thanks in advance D

my mom gave me her old Kodak Easy Share digital camera for Christmas, I love it cause when I take videos it has sound, my old camera did'nt, and I can see my videos and photos on my tv, the only problem I have is the lighting when I am taking a video, if the room I am in has a bright light it is ok but when I move into a different room or away from the light I can't see what I am looking at when I watch the video, how do I keep the subject bright no matter where in the house I go?

Hello,

I currently have about a $700 budget at the current moment, and noticed that futureship has a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 8MP SLR Digital Camera With 18-55mm USM Kit for sale on boxing day, $400... is this a good deal?

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10097983&catid=22553&logon=&langid=EN

Or should I just save my cash, and keep saving... and maybe order something off of ebay, like a Nikon 40D kit... for around $700 plus shipping

New to photography, so unsure on what is a better camera, and if the rebel XT is something I should go with...

I got this Sony digital camera, and I'm very disappointed. I'm gonna sell it on Ebay. Can someone suggest me a good digital camera? My basic requirements are small, minimum 10x zoom, anti-handshake, capable of taking good night pictures and etc. Money is not a problem. Serious answers please.

Hey,
I am looking to buy a new digital camera so that when I go flying I can take some pictures of my trips to show my friends and family. I fly small planes, and am usually 3000-6000feet away from the ground (in a Cessna 172S if it matters).
I have never owned a digital camera before, so Im not sure whats good and whats bad. I am generally looking to take pictures of everything I can see from the plane, which goes for miles (the scenery i guess?). I have been looking at a lot of different cameras, read hundreds of reviews, but there are so many options and I do not know what i need. I was wondering if I could get some help choosing the right one, or even getting a couple recomendations would be nice so i can look at them myself.
What I think I do need is image stabilization (the plane is kind of shaky sometimes), a lot of optical zoom, and compact. Im looking to sped around $200, but id go up to $300 if it was right (rather spend now than regret it later).
But you tell me
Thanks!

For someone who used to do a lot of photography in an *old* manual and wants to get into digital. They'd be more interested in features like optical image stabilization, zoom lenses, and depth of field preview than, say, red eye reduction. Price range is probably $400-1000, but I'm willing to take a hit to the wallet in the interests of image quality. Thanks!
