I got this Sony digital camera, and I'm very disappointed. I'm gonna sell it on Ebay. Can someone suggest me a good digital camera? My basic requirements are small, minimum 10x zoom, anti-handshake, capable of taking good night pictures and etc. Money is not a problem. Serious answers please.

try this website, it might help you find what you are looking for.

Then when you've narrowed your choices, check customer reviews on amazon.

If money isn't a problem why not consider a DSLR? No, they aren't small but you'll have more flexibility and creative options with one.

Check out the Pentax K100D Super and the Sony A100 for affordable DSLR cameras.

The Canon G9 is also worthy of consideration.

When you say "... capable of taking good night pictures..." I assume you mean without flash. This requires a camera with Manual Mode, a tripod socket (a threaded hole in the bottom of the camera) and a shutter with a minimum speed of 15 seconds or a "T" or "B" setting and it must accept a cable release. Of course you'll also need a good tripod.

Suppose you want to take pictures of a city skyline in the distance after dark. Referring to my FotoSharp (fotosharp.com) Day & Night Exposure Guide, we'll use Scene # 14.

ISO 100

f4 @ 8 sec.
f5.6 @ 15 sec.
f8 @ 30 sec.
f11 @ 60 sec.

ISO 200

f4 @ 4 sec.
f5.6 @ 8 sec.
f8 @ 15 sec.
f11 @ 30 sec.

As you can readily see night pictures require long exposures.

Try this: Olympus SP-510 Ultra Zoom.

Feature:

1. 10X optical Zoom plus 5X digital Zoom making a total of 50X Zoom.
2. Digital Image Stabilisation (Anti Shake).
3. For night time shooting, you have an ISO rating of ISO 4000, and if you want to control your shutter speeds, you have the option of: 15 seconds to 1/1000 of a second plus B (the shutter opens as long as you press the shutter button).

Hope that helps.
