The ZD710 is not a professional-level camera; it's a $150, 7 megapixel point and shoot camera with a 10x zoom lens integrated with the body.

Thus, there is no lens you can swap out to get the kind of performance you are asking for.

You'd need to get a digital SLR to accomplish what you are asking.

Is there no way to attach it to a telescope, then? That seems to be the case as doing so take a picture of the lens, not through it...so WHY do is there a t-ring adapter sold for it??? The only purpose of a t-ring is to attach it to a lens. Can it be used with a lens (ETX-90 or such) without removing its lens?

So, you're saying that the zillions of references to the ZD710 being a DSLR are wrong? Typical.

Sorry but there are no lenses you can use with this digicam for "professional" photography.

If you're interested in expanding your photographic horizons then you need to be looking at a DSLR - which allows you to change lenses to suit different photographic situations.
