my mom gave me her old Kodak Easy Share digital camera for Christmas, I love it cause when I take videos it has sound, my old camera did'nt, and I can see my videos and photos on my tv, the only problem I have is the lighting when I am taking a video, if the room I am in has a bright light it is ok but when I move into a different room or away from the light I can't see what I am looking at when I watch the video, how do I keep the subject bright no matter where in the house I go?

Low ambient light levels have that effect on that Kodak. Only thing you can do is ensure you've got bright lights on in whatever area you'll be shooting.
That's why I bought a Canon. It performs exceptionally well in low-light situations.
Good Luck.

Most cameras are terrible when recording video indoor or with low light. Even the best video camera does a poor job. The only way is to light up the room with external lighting. I had used Canon, Fuji, and Sony before, the worst is Sony. Fuji actually does a great job indoor. However, I have never gone back to Fuji since it broken after the warranty expires just after 1 year. I prefer Canon for it's quality and reliability. If you search for reviews online, you will notice that most of the sites recommend Canon models.
If you are going to shot lots of video, I recommend selling your mom's Kodak on ebay and use the money toward a new Canon TX1 if video is most important, A520 IS if you are on a budget, and SD1000 if you want something pocket size.
I have the G7 when it first came out. It records great video and photo. I would sell my G7 to get the new TX1 if the photo quality is better or close to G7. Go to Canonusa.com for more information. They have camera for all budget and levels. Good Luck !

To my understanding with Kodak Easy Share C Series for video, there is no lighting effects, you can only change to black and white etc, sorry pal.

oh that happens with any digital camara. dont worry. there is nothing much you can do except make sure that the place you are filming in is well lit so that it can pik up the images etc.

otherwise you need to get your self a proper video cam.
