The rate with which the Digital Cameras are proliferating it is yes, it will be difficult to find, as the film manufacturers will stop manufacturing or reduce the number of rolls they manufacture, hence it will be scarce and bit costly. But what ever the Digital Cameras can produce, it cannot match a SLR Film Camera. You can do wonders with a Film Camera.

I believe film will be available for many years to come. It may disappear from Wal-Mart, Target, etc. but professional camera stores will continue to stock Kodak, Fuji and Ilford.

Within the past year Kodak upgraded its Portra line and Fuji re-introduced their venerable Velvia 50 slide film.

If its really a concern for you then buy the freshest film you can find (with an expiration date 2 or 3 years away) and freeze it.

I have trouble finding it now. Mostly I see digital or disposable cameras, but not film.
