Im using the camera for portraits and weddings and have a Nikon D80, just wanted to see peoples opinions on Nikon Flashes. I was looking at the sb600

IMO the SB-800 with the SK-6 Power Bracket would be the way to go. I learned long ago that its better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it.

With the additional batteries in the SK-6 Power Bracket your recycle times may be reduced by up to 1/2 - very useful IMO.

If money is a deciding factor, the SB-600 and SK-6 Power Bracket would be your best choice.

If you are shooting weddings, sometimes you need to shoot multiple shots very quickly. The SB600 is a fine unit but the SB800 has more power if you are shooting from a distance and also has an ability to hold a 5th battery for faster recycle times. This has made a difference to me when shooting events.

Incidentally I own both the SB600 and SB800.
