i bought my girlfriend a 40 dollar digital camera for Christmas from a pawn shop the camera was an Argus quickclix 5150 so did i get riped off

If it works great, then no you didn't get ripped off.
Paying 40$ for a camera that at least works, is so much better then paying the hundreds of dollars for a brand new one!

You cant compare Block "giving" you more without kids and JH giving you more with kids. They dont give it to you. Either you are entitled or not. You usually get more back with kids so the 2 situations are different. If all you had was a W2 then $500 was way too much. If you itemized, had a rental, and lots of other stuff then it may have been justified. Even at Block you would have to need a lot of forms for $500.

if the cmera works, you did not get ripped off. you only get what you paid for. don't expect to much from a $40 camera.

Most likely, and for every one else dont ever go to a pawn shop. averything is so freaking expensive and most of the time what they sell dont work properly.
