My brand new Sony Cybershot DSC-S650 was dropped not even a foot and it immediately turned off and the lens is still stuck out. First, I tried to turn it back on and it only said the words 'Sony Cybershot' then turned back off. So I put in new batteries, tried to turn it on again and it did the same thing. I don't know what to do, and I definitly don't have the money to just throw it away, I just got it about 2 weeks ago. Someone please help me.

I have a Sony DSC-V1 and all of a sudden all of the photo's I take have been coming out very grainy. It use to take nice sharp photo's. Anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? I've gone over my settings and everything is set the same way I had them set before but photo's are still coming out grainy.

Doing portraits indoors, not a huge space but maybe some day.

Already have a continuous lighting set up (only 2 lights) but I want the convienence of flash. Should I just buy some flash heads and mount onto my stands and umbrellas or just buy whole kit.

Using Canon XTi/400D.

i took several pictures and when i tried to zoom in it said " unrecognized file format". i tried uploading them to the computer, but they wouldnt show up. so i decided to keep them in there until i could find a way to get them out.
when i took out the battery (to charge it) and placed it back in, none of my photos wouldnt show up (which is weird because ive done it many times before with my pictures that do upload to the computer), instead it says " unrecognized file format" with a black background. on the latest photo i took, only the top 1/10 of the picture comes up, the rest is blacked out. what can i do!??! this pictures are very important to me. i went to costco (where i got it) and even their photo center doesnt know what to do.
I also cannot take anymore photos, and the camera is supposed to be able to hold 120 photos (there are only 12!). i deleted one once to see what would happen, but it still says "memory is full"

my camera is a Kodak EasyShare C663. please help!!

I would like to be able to use my camera SD card to get text etc. from my computer and then be able to read it from the SD card on the digital camera screen. I realize I could take a picture with the camera of the computer screen and accomplish this but I would like to try to go with computer screen to SD card and to SD card into the camera and read it.

I am a graphic designer in the US who is getting her first big break with a major company in France. I can't keep using our dinky walmart digital, anymore.

I will be using the camera to photograph large pedal harps (about a foot taller than the average human) also, will be doing macro shots in low, dramatic lighting. I will also use the camera for the photography that I sell - mostly outdoor or landscape photography.

I need a versitile camera that is manual/digital. I was looking at the Nikon D200, but it is out of my budget. Is the D80 suffient for professional use?

This will be my first professional camera, other than the manuals that I own. This job both creates the need and the means for a camera of this type, however I cannot purchase a $2,000 camera at this time. So I am just now researching. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am looking to purchase a new Ultra Compact Camera (prob between £160-£210) and was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions.

The type of cameras I have looked at so far include:

Panasonic Lumix FX30
Olympus MJU 780.

Main factors will be good zoom, good quality and good battery life.

Any suggestion grateful

i sure wish money grew on trees... after bringing my sony cybershot to a night at the beach, it mysteriously doesn't work- it doesn't turn on, and i'm guessing it got wet. when i plugged the ion battery into the wall though, the charge light went on. i'm guessing that's a good sign. the camera is a little damp inside, and hopefully something can dry it out? please help :(

I'll soon have use of a digital camera, but will be sharing the camera with my child who plans to use the camera often with friends. How can I be sure my pictures are not stored on the camera itself, or mixed in with other pictures?

I was told I'll need some type of memory card. Are all the photos ONLY saved on those cards(and no where on the camera itself similar to a computer), which means I would simply use a seperate memory card from my child? Thanks

I wanted to buy the Sony DSC-T20W, It looks like a good camera, but then i read the customer reviews. The people who have just bought it are really happy with it. But then i read the reviews of people who've had the camera for more than a few months and seem to be having serious problems with it. Having had to repair it twice in less than a year.
