Sony DSC-V1 taking grainy photos?

I have a Sony DSC-V1 and all of a sudden all of the photo's I take have been coming out very grainy. It use to take nice sharp photo's. Anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? I've gone over my settings and everything is set the same way I had them set before but photo's are still coming out grainy.

Perhaps the ISO has been set to 1600 or 3200 somehow? Could be some sort of internal problem with the camera, causing it to set the ISO very high while it appears to be set at a lower ISO. Might be time to have it checked out.
