And the day before I used it and all was perfect! The flash was working and now its not. I didnt drop it or anything, no one touched it so I dont know why it isn't working! I tried everything, in case it wasnt properly done but NO! I dont understand =(

I'm going to get a digital camera for my grandparents. Since they are electronically impared, I want to get them something that is simple to use but still produces good quality images. I'm thinking hp. But I'd like your suggestions. And please tell me why your choice is the best!

I have been using a Powershot S2 IS and overtime have learned quite a bit about taking photos through using the M mode extensively. As a result, I have become very interested in purchasing a canon DSLR; however, I am still very unfamiliar with the selection of lenses available. Because I'm so accustomed to the 12 X zoom and macro capabilities of the S2 IS, what lens could you recommend that would provide similar, if not better, actions?

I have a smart chip in my digital camera. I recently transferred the photos to my PC and unfortunately lost the file. So, is it possible I can still retrieve the photo from the memory chip?

I think my ex installed hidden cameras in every room in my apartment. He knows everything I do behind closed doors. How can I find these cameras? I heard some of these cameras are as little as a pencil tip. Is there a place where I can call for them to come here and search to see if there are hidden cameras in my apartment. I don't mean the police, I mean a camera expert, does anyone knows?

I notice that it is much quicker to format my camera's Compact Flash Card rather than use the delete all function. Does formatting put more wear on the card or cause any other problems?

I am a stay at home mom with a good background in photography. For now, I want to be able to take awesome candid shots of the kids that can be easily d/l into the computer.

Preferably, this camera will eventually be used for more artistic work and some sports photography.

I don't think I need a bunch of bells and whistles - I think something that has an auto feature as well as the opportunity to manually set F-stops, etc... will be just fine.

I'd also like to keep the cost below $900.

Suggestions?

I dropped my digital camera into a cup of coffee, now the lens won't move or open. I presume that the coffee has stuck it fast, is there anyway that I can try and clean the coffee out???? Am devasted I loved my camera! Everything else still works amazingly but the lens won't open to zoom etc. Any answers gratefully appreciated!

lens is stuck when power switched off.But it is fine sometimes & work fine. Went to Sony Customer Center, they say lens is broken and told to repair it. anyone know whats the problem ( i don't believe SONY customer center at this moment). does virus make it happen so?
