Cameras - October 2006

I don't own a digital camera so I whenever I want to take a picture I just use my camera phone. When you have a picture from a phone processed at the 1-hour photo do they trun out just as good as pictures from a digital camera?

I am under a tight budget, but, would like to have at least a nice wedding photo.
Since I've heard so many stories of bad pictures done by professionals, and they are so expense, I am thinking just using a digital camera.
And can you help me with tips to maximized the quality when taking picture with it?

We currently have an early 1990's Minolta Maxxum Dynax 3xi with many lenses and filters. Is there a new digital SLR that we can use our current lenses, etc. with?

I'm looking to buy a new one. I currently have a Sony from about two years ago. It has that annoying delay (and everyone else I know has the same problem with their cameras). I have a two year old, so it makes it very difficult to capture a quick picture (say cheese for twenty seconds, kid!).

I don't want to go to a camera shop and have them tell me I need an $800 camera or Best Buy and have some kid reading the box to me!

I'm hoping to spend under $300. Thank you!

Ok, I know its lame but I have never figured out how to delete all the pictures on my memory card all at once. I have to go through and delete each one individually and when you have 50 or more pictures on there, it takes awhile! I realize its ridiculous but I can't find anything helpful in the How-to manual. Help me!

I currently have a camera that I absolutely HATE. The pictures have a greenish tint to them, flash is horrible, and shot-to-shot time is painful. I am looking for a camera that is compact, with excellent image quality. I've been doing some research over the internet, and so far Canon, Sony, and Fuji seem to be good. Someone please help me! I dropped my Olympus digital camera while the lens was out, and now the motor is jammed. (I can't close the lens.) I'm really bummed out because I love taking photos and this camera means a lot to me. My boyfriend bought it for me for Christmas. I haven't even had it for a whole year! I took my camera to the electronic store where my BF bought it to find out if they can repair it. (Warranty has expired!) I was told that once the motor is jammed, there's no way to repair it. Does anyone know if this is true? I'd like to take it to the camera shop, but I don't want to pay a fortune on repairs. I don't want to buy a new one either. Anyone have any ideas?

I bought a Minolta X-300 SLR camera several years ago and just found out that Minoalta no longer make cameras. I want to switch to DSLR without having to buy all new zoom lenses (i.e 70mm - 300mm) is there any way to find out if my current lenses and attachments will work with other camera bodies?
