I bought a Minolta X-300 SLR camera several years ago and just found out that Minoalta no longer make cameras. I want to switch to DSLR without having to buy all new zoom lenses (i.e 70mm - 300mm) is there any way to find out if my current lenses and attachments will work with other camera bodies?

Many companies such as Nikon and Olympus make DSLR cameras now. All you need is an adapter ring to mount the lenses you have. Contact a good camera store for more info.

Minolta made their own mounts and they were propietary - meaning they will only fit Minolta camera. I know of no adapter to change the mount from one camera to another. B&H sells 3rd party lens (Tamron, Sigma, etc) that you purchase the adapter that fits your camera but I'm not sure they are even interchangable anymore.

I think you are stuck unless they fit the Konica/Minolta DSLR cameras that were produced just before going out of business.

The web site www.bhphotovideo.com is one of the largest companies. They have charts to show which lenses will work with which cameras. The also sell many adapters to use one company's lens in a different camera.
