a new computer will have an average 120 Gb hard disc and 512 Mb ram
camera memory comes in packages of between 32 Mb (basic) and 1 Gb - average is about 128 Mb
I am talking about average PC's and average cameras - not the top end - not what some pc whizz might have in their machine - just an average machine that you'd get at PC world or dixons

camera memory starts at 32mb and goes up to 10gb on certain card the most common card size is 1gb.
computer have different hard drive and ram size it is all down to the manfacture and model you get. the most comon is 1024mb ram and 160 - 200 gb hard drive.

a gigabyte = 1024mb
