Any idea in terms of cost range for a decent (not entry level, not professional) one would go for?

The lenses themselves, how powerful to they go? (How far away can you see with the ultra-powerful ones? their cost?

Thank you so much

I have a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT and have purchased an Olympus Evolt E-300. Is there something I can use to be able to use my Canon lenses on the Olympus? I purchased the body only, so would rather use lenses I have than buy all new, obviously. Thanks!

I have a pentax *istDL, and am not sure what minimum f rating I should be looking for in a lense. f1.8? f2.8? Any good websites with info on this would be helpful as well.

Is there a noticeable difference in the 'di' lenses produced by Tamron vs the previous lenses withouth the 'di' logo ? Their web site does not give much detail at all on the differences. The 'di' range is significantly more expensive.

SLR cameras tend to focus on the subject and the background becomes un-focussed. How to take a photo with all things in the foreground and background in focus???

They're all large, with large lenses. I'm sure there's a simple, physical reason.

The files were readable before and for some reason now they are not viewable. They are still there, but cannot be copied or accessed by the computer (via the USB port) or on the camera itself. the camera is a nikon coolpix 5600.
they show up as a file called g
and also other files with file extensions .rar
I was told by a camera shop that they could be retreived but at a steep price. Some of the pictures are viewable but about 2/3 rds arent but are still taking up memory on the sandisk 1 Gig card.
I cant even drag and drop the files to a hard drive to copy the files to create a back up in case this file retrieval thingy fails. does anyone know what to do or have gone through the same thing? also could airport security scanners have caused this?
thank to all who respond!
