I'm thinking of giving one as a gift. Don't know much about electronics.

Here is a good one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830122041
Nice features for the price, plus it comes with a case and a small tripod.

For around 200 to 250 you can get a good camera....ususally anything below that take bad pictures, have bad battery life....and such

Try looking at the cameras at BestBuy.com, And Curcuit City's site

I got a Sony p93 camera about 2 years ago at Sears (cuz i had a gift card) for only $230. Very good camera and it works very good, all i did is get a bigger memory stick last month.

So just look around, and you should fid soemething good. you can email me if you want me to help you finding one
