The only difference that I can see between the two models is that the K100D has image stabilization and weighs about 3 oz heavier. (and is obviously a little more expensive).
Other than that, they are identical.
The camera has not been reviewed by every major review site yet, so it could be too early to know.
It only has 6MP, which just might not be enough for some people, including me. (I probably prefer the Canon XTi).

Great answer by Petra. All I can add is that I'd personally rather get a Canon or Nikon for the lens selection. You'll have a much wider range to choose from. You'll also have more options if you ever decide to upgrade.
For roughly the same price as the K100/110D, have a look at the Nikon D50. That's their entry level model. Highly recommended in combination with the Nikon 18-70mm lens.
If you're still leaning towards Pentax, I'd at least wait for reviews of the new Pentax K10D. If that model is received poorly, I'd steer clear of Pentax completely.
