Cameras - October 2006

goes to alot of sporting events/functions.
I just want to know what's a good camera for someone who tends to sit in the back seats alot. I want one that's good on ebay and wont break my budget...I'm willing to spend up to $170.00 dollars on it ( possibly 180.00). I just went to a parade and two sporting events and I was mad when I realized I just missed two chances to take great pictures!! Darn!!!
but I need a camera for that.

I have a Kyocera finecam S3R camera, I dont know whats happend with it. When ever a switch it on the camera makes the entrance sound but the screen just flashs and switchs off and even the focus lens doesn't open up, the camera just switchs off. so could you please help me with this problem.

Since 20D & 30D are virtually the same camera except a few minor upgrades, I've decided to get the 20D instead since the price is significantly lower. But the package that they're selling has a Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Auto Focus Lens. Is this a good lense? Mainly I'll be using the camera for building professional websites and also for taking pictures for fun but I need your opinion on whether I should spend a little more $ and get a better lense.

I want to shoot scences like you see in real music videos. Where theres like a all white background or there standing somewhere. Like a green screen effect. Is there a way i could do that?

I have been getting ready to upgrade my point and shoot to a nicer point and shoot (no SLR yet), and feel pretty sure the Canon S2 or S3 is my pick. More likely S2, since price is a big factor. Where can a guy find the best deals on these? Ebay seems to cost more than Amazon, and the local camera shops cost even more yet. Any sites or other alternatives you know of would be appreciated.

i know in some of the older cameras, whenever you pushed the button, it would pause slightly before actually taking the shot. Maybe they've improved since then, but I was just curious...and I don't mean the digtal SLR's..but the 300-400 dollar range ones...thanks!

i am looking to upgrade from a point-and-click digital camera to a digital SLR. i'm torn between Nikon and Canon. I have been a Canon user in the past and I would like to know if Nikon is easy to use? I am torn between Digital Rebel XTi by Canon or Nikon D50. Any thoughts/suggestions?

My camera doesn't work whenever I take a picture. Like it turns on perfectly and all but when I press the button to take a picture the camera just turns off by itself. I really don't know what's the problem. Does anyone? I use Fujifilm FinePix A345.
