My granddaughter would like a small camera that she can just slip in to her jeans pocket - all we can find are bulky cameras that just don't accomplish this.

Some Canon Digital Elph cameras would fit into a pocket. They are in the Powershot SD series.

I would recommend one of Canon's pocketsized Digital ELPH / Digital IXUS range (the PowerShot SD600 or the SD630 which both have 6MP).
Their dimensions are,
SD 600...86 x 54 x 22 mm (3.4 x 2.1 x 0.9 in)
SD 630 (Digital IXUS 65)...90 x 57 x 20 mm (3.5 x 2.2 x 0.8 in) and it just won a TIPA Award (the European "Oscars" of Photo & Imaging Industry)...for best Ultra Compact Digital Camera.

Try the Nikon Coolpix 6 MP S5 Digital Camera.
It has a big screen, and lots of memory. And Nikon is a top brand.

I'm looking for one myself and the smallest I could find was a Kodak brand. I can't remember the exact name but its pretty small. Try going to www.kodak.com and click digital cameras-pocket cameras. Good luck!

I think Cybershot DSC-T50 is a good choice.
She would love it. It comes in three colors. So I think SONY is good for you to buy.
