I think my ex installed hidden cameras in every room in my apartment. He knows everything I do behind closed doors. How can I find these cameras? I heard some of these cameras are as little as a pencil tip. Is there a place where I can call for them to come here and search to see if there are hidden cameras in my apartment. I don't mean the police, I mean a camera expert, does anyone knows?

This might be a little tricky. Since the cameras you think that are installed in your home are small there is a good chance that you can not see them. Ok got it. Here is what I would do.
Plan A: (crazy but should work)
Find a metal detector, a stun gun ( one used to shock the bad guys).

Start combing the walls with the metal detector and where it beeps whether its a nail or the camera. Zap it with the stun gun. This will short out the unit completely. But do be carefull when you get close to the electrical sockets. Also have a fire extinguisiher handy just in case you start a fire.

Or plan B: Do you think that your house needs a new paint job? go and paint the whole house and you should be able to cover up them sneaky camera holes.

Get a device like what Chuckie recommends. Most hidden cameras have to be wireless so they broadcast a signal that can be detected by such a device which will lead you right to them. However, DO NOT TOUCH THEM when you detect them! Instead, call the police right away. Have them send a police car over. Explain the situation to them and show them the cameras/bugs. Tell them your ex is stalking you and ask them to dust the cameras for fingerprints. Most guys like this are definitely not as smart as they think they are and those cameras probably have his prints all over them. It is seriously against the law to put cameras in a person's apartment. Also, this is a clear violation of most state's anti-stalking laws.

A word of warning. Only dangerous people go so far as to put hidden cameras in a person's house. You need to treat them as dangerous. The police will have alot to say on the issue, I guarentee.

Contact private detectives and/or electronics installers and ask if they have a device which detects radio signals or electronic output. You should be able to find someone who will have a small hand-held device that they can walk through the house with and it will detect where cameras/transmitters may be placed. You mentioned "not the police" but if something is found, I would definitely want the police involved, as this does become a legal issue with you being recorded without your consent.

You can contact a private investigation service that "sweeps" places for bugs, cameras, whatever snoop device someone may have planted. Ask what they would charge. Otherwise, invite a lot of friends over and search inch by inch. The lens will be somewhere that photographs the whole room. Or it may just be voice recorders.Have you considered a restraining order?

dont be paranoid. i bet he hasn't done anything. has he been talking about stuff you've been doing? think about where you were when you did this and look for logical locations for cameras. look there.
