(All else being the same.) Since the 1080i is not progressive, I'm figuring the 720p will be a better display option for progressive scan DVD. Are there any advantages for 1080i over 720p when viewing DVD?

I've already gotten some good advice by looking at previously asked questions. But some remain. Like, most speaker systems will have to be hooked up to the TV, meaning they're not wireless? Which means that they'll need to be close to the TV unless I decide to run wires around the room? Do I need to buy speakers by the same mfr. as the tv itself? I know I'd get better quality for more money, but I'm not going there. So will it be worth spending around $200? Do the speakers take the place of the built-in tv speakers, or are they in addition to them?

I've been playing Resistance multiplayer offline with 3 friends using two sixaxis controllers and two old PS2 controllers with PS2 to PS3 contoller adapters. Everything works fine except that if you get tagged by the Chimeran machine gun or lit on fire, the way to shake off the tag or put out the fire is to shake the sixaxis. Has anyone found a way to do this without sixaxis motion controls? Could the "shake" command possibly be mapped to a different controller button???

Well, we just bought a nice Kodak Z612 digital camera in May of this year. We dropped it not long ago and now the lens does not retract back into the camera and it will not turn on.

Since we dropped it, the warranty is void. It would cost $145 +tax to get the thing fixed!! Ridiculous!

I would like to have a repair manual so that I can repair it myself. I am very good with electronics repair, so I am confident that I can fix it if I had a manual to reference.

What will I notice different as an end user between a LCD HDTV with 120Hz frame-rate conversion like the Sharp LC-D82U Aquos as compared to a LCD HDTV with true 120Hz refresh rates like Samsung LN-T71F series? This 120Hz refresh rate is really new and only available on around 4 LCD HDTVs I have seen and I am wondering if I should insist that my new TV has this feature. I was planning on purchasing either Sharp LC-D82U, Sony KDL-52W3000 Bravia, Samsung LNT5265F or Toshiba HL167 Regza, but after researching it turns out none of the 4 TVs has true 120Hz refresh rates. The Aquos has 120Hz frame rate conversion? Will one of these TVs work or do I need to buy the Samsung or Sony with 120Hz refresh rates.
FYI, this TV will be the hub of home entertaintment where I will be running desktop CPU/internet connection via HDMI, Blu-Ray, HD DVD, Hi Def Programming and a Wii.
Thanks So Much for taking time to help

My receiver does not have HDMI inputs our outputs, so I know that is missing. But it does have component outputs.
If I use this receiver with a new HDTV, will there be a degradation of the video image? I'd rather not upgrade everything at once!
Thanks for any help.

Ok this may sound a little crazy but........Does the actual camera develop good pictures or is it the sim card.......Im about to get a new camera and i love the picture quality from the camera that i have now(Kodak, easyshare) i dont know if i should stick with the same camera of if its the actual sim card.......Cause you take the sim card out of the camera and put it in the machine in wal-mart. Please dont think im crazy!

I have a fuji v10 camera and for some reason the Lens won't close. It's practically brand new and this is the first time it ever happened. When powered on it says focus error, and when i turn it off, the lens doesn't close. I tried pushing it and banging it a little bit, but nothing helped. Is there another way to fix this problem or am i basically gonna have to buy a new camera.

Ok..so i bought a digital camera from ABC warehouse..it was a fujifilm camera..anyway I purchased a 3 year warranty..
recently I cannot find my camera...( this is about 7 months after I purchased it) I'm thinking either someone stole it..or I might have lost it..

Will the warranty get me another camera..?

and I cannot find my reciept and I paid it with cash...so will I be able to use my warranty without my receipt (I know i'm programmed into th ABC's system..)or am I going to have to search like mad to find it..(my receipt)?

Can anyone recommend a brand, model number, and price, for a D.V.D. player which neither "sticks" (pauses), nor "skips", whole sections of a movie, or show. This question assumes that the video disk is in good shape, and the problem is in the electronics.
