Well, we just bought a nice Kodak Z612 digital camera in May of this year. We dropped it not long ago and now the lens does not retract back into the camera and it will not turn on.

Since we dropped it, the warranty is void. It would cost $145 +tax to get the thing fixed!! Ridiculous!

I would like to have a repair manual so that I can repair it myself. I am very good with electronics repair, so I am confident that I can fix it if I had a manual to reference.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Unfortunately, there are no repair manuals for digital cameras. Even if you were able to point out the problem, you'd still need to get the part from Kodak, which I don't think is possible unless you are a camera repair shop.

You can add a little more to the repair cost and buy a new one of these, or even a better one.

Good luck
