You bought one of the cute all-in-one sound systems didnt you?

According to the information I can find, you only have 1 set of ANALOG inputs on that sound system.

If your TV has 2 RCA jacks labeled "Audio Out", you run 2 RCA cables from the TV to the Samsung receiver. This should give you sound from the TV.

Television is not yet broadcasting in true 5.1 surround sound audio, so an optical cable is not going to give you what you don't have.

I have a 5.1 audio system hooked up to my TV, and the TV has a 5.1 SIMULATION option so that I can feed into my audio amp and I get some of the effect, but it's still not true 5.1.
